I've worked with so many drivers just like that. One worked for the company 32 years before he was finally fired.
I call them out on it. Ask, "How long have you been working here?" That's when they start stammering and stuttering.

There is a LOT of truth to this. With the pandemic and the economy being in really bad shape, one has to be grateful for what he or she has, or is receiving. So many people are in a world of hurt.

I can't say that I blame you. $72,000 a year is a great amount of money, especially for someone who has never earned that kind of money in his or her life.

That's putting it in a nutshell. $72,000 a year really is a great amount of money, an amount that most people will never see.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    1) Working at any job for 32 years is an accomplishment in itself. This particular driver probably didn't know how well off he was.
    2) Being fired after 32 years on the job is truly & genuinely shameful. It would be one thing if it was a layoff due to economic circumstances. However, to be fired due to willful wrong doing, that is a whole different story.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I would say you are doing very well in the pay department. I am home every week as well and gross slightly more than you per week, but I average around 3700 miles a week.

Even more take home if he gets the perdiem tax break. I know it makes a big difference in my take home

I'm at almost 3 months exp and I just signed up for per diem a week ago. Not sure if it was on my last paycheck but hoping it'll be on this one . I calculated what I should make without it so I'll know if it's there or not this time
