    Because you want team loads that go from terminal to terminal and don't want to get bogged down with time-consuming pickups from ports?

    Bonus question: Is there any other utility of the TWIC besides pickups/dropoffs at ports?

    I got the HM endorsement in the past, but it's been 4-5 years since I did that fingerprint thing and took the written test. I think I will need to take the written test again. But I don't want to give the airport groping admin. anymore money.

    I went to the big chemical plant in Kingsport, TN about four years ago in order to pickup Hazmat in a dry van trailer. The escort was not mandatory, but simply optional to help you not get lost.

    Eastman is not on waterway. Most chem plants are. But some are not. Like Kankakee illinoid

    I have my TWIC. When I was delivering salt with a pneumatic I didn’t have to have an escort at refineries and power plants.

    So outside of chemical plants next to rivers or coasts, and ports, there is no need for the twic?
