Isn't it a myth that full owner operators get hauled less?

Its a case by case basis I guess. Most Broker loads I do are pick up one day and deliver next. So I always let them know when Im loaded and empty. Ive never been bothered throughout the day. The 2 direct shippers I use have never bothered me. Ive been asked to download different apps since I dont have elog, and cant share log info with brokers....answer is no.

CHR likes you to have their app on your phone, been down that road hauling high rent steel. No apps on my phone now…..

Someone lied to you. I've never used a tracking app and check calls never reach me either. I text or email status updates as a courtesy. That's all they get unless they want to pay extra for the tracking.

I get stupid texts from a broker I haul for.
Asking if so want a load, I’m already loaded and halfway to destination D386A96A-DBFA-43CF-8B9B-15D604E3B996.png

    Usually brokers require micropoint.
I don’t mind, that’s super easy and helps me with detention payments if I need one.
Some brokers ask to use they own app, which is also not a problem for me.
Only TQL will call/text all the time even with if you use their app…:D

I did a load from Coyote last week. 3rd Load ever. The app has me rated at 68% on time. The late Load was the Shippers fault. Must have gotten 6 phone calls asking for an ETA on this load. Bunch of idiots. They can keep their Tracking. phone calls, and freight. Who needs that BS.

This is my issue with tracking. They can track their freight all they want. I have no problem with that. My problem is they want to track the DRIVER (via his phone usually) and I find that unacceptable. The driver's business is none of theirs.

That’s the problem I had with that CHR app on my old phone. Even when off duty, no matter where I was it showed the town I was in. It may be different now I don’t know.

I Know the last CHR broker I dealt with, said they were setting up a new system that would slowly dissolve the need for a lot of the warm body’s on their end of the phone. Also told me if they dealt with drivers that did not have their app, the broker himself would lose $$$. Which that could have been a bunch of horse $ hit….

And if most were to read the fine print on what they agree to? They wouldn't agree. Most apps access your contacts. Im a solo independent, my contacts are privileged information. Ask them for the password for the corporate system? They will say no. My devices are no different. You don't like it? I'm going on a scooter ride to the lake. Have a nice day.
