well here we go when ta bought out the petro from Jack cardwell of El Paso Tennessee apparently there was a clause that says you will never close an Iron Skillet Restaurant other than a quick skillet for 20 years..the 20th anniversary came and now here goes ta closing up all kinds of petrol restaurants at night summit really surprised me was Glendale Kentucky Remington Indiana..now Jackson Mississippi doesn't surprise me and the two in Louisiana Shreveport and Hammond don't surprise me they weren't worth anything for a long time anyway lousy staff lousy food lousy employees those were Hood Petros if you ever been there you will agree...although I really like Glendale for quite a time I was a surprise that they decide to slice their hours in my opinion now the TA plays these games and doesn't have one of their own even open 24 hours anymore that are corporate owned now I know wildcat still is because they're not corporate owned.
but not knowing who still 24 hours and who's not when it'd be a lot easier from a marketing standpoint if they're going to do this is simply close them all and just simply say be sure to visit one of ta and Petro full-service restaurants between the hours of 6 and 11 p.m. where will be happy to serve you that way it's all the way across the board..I don't really eat the middle of the night too much anymore once in a blue moon at least there's Denny's all over if that's the case or a Subway but the bottom line for guys to run a night shift and there used to be stopping about 1 or 2 in the morning for a nice sit-down meal now you can't tell anymore..apparently it was just last week that Remington got their walking papers you're being sliced 5 to 11 and now 6 to 11 Glendale Kentucky which is really a surprise look for more
it was only a matter of time

I never stop at either if I don’t have to. If you want a good meal look for smaller independents that have restaurants nearby.

that I'm aware of..I do also but I'm just saying I noticed that no sooner was the ink dry that ta began closing up Petros restaurants.. something that never happened back when Jack cardwell still owned the chain. but I'm still new I'm only starting my 29th Year I'm still trying to figure everything out sometimes I feel like I'm starting over when I look at what people do compared to what I did -
I plan on a meal in our Galloway Petro, I'll chat up the manager and see where they see the future. They have cut back a little bit over the years. We don't get down there too often as we would like.

As Rodney Dangerfield once said: " Since when does toast have bones?" That's how I feel about the Iron Skilet and Country Pride restaurants.

Rodney was a gift to use a bad context. I don't think I will ever see another in this lifetime. There has been several people who have had humor that is seriously a crackup, they are missed.Omega1 Thanks this.

Im one of them, ate that for years before TA came along. Usually a 76 some independants and the occasional petro... Plus quite a bit of roach coaching and street trucks. That is one of my secret vices, those street trucks. West Philly at the old Vets stadium area had some. You could roll a mountain of food for a little bit and work all week on it.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
