I've been dying of a back ache, do the gel cushions help?

Im 61 and I've had 2 back surgeries and a hip replacement in the last 2 years. Was was a Class B driver for 7 years and a Class A driver for 8 yrs.
Haven't worked a day in 2 years and CA State Disability was exhausted a year ago and I've been living off my savings.

2 doctors refused to put me on Permanent Disability.

I don't want advice about these matters, I said that to put this question into context.

Does anyone think that a really high quality thick, jelly-like seat cushion or any type of high quality seat cushion would help me? The main pain is in my right butt when that sciatic nerve gets pinched plus the pressure on my new hip from sitting too long.
I'm going broke and I need to get back to work.
I don't know how to use Truckers Report.

With your severe back issues, I don’t think it will matter what cushion you use. Sitting compresses your spine, I think you will be in a lot of pain in short order.

You need a competent chiropractor and a lot of physical therapy.

Have you tried hanging from a chin-up bar? It's the same spinal decompression as a inversion table but a lot more convenient & cheaper. It really helps my back pain.

Way back when I was a teenager in high school, a guy that owned a Gulf gas station used to tie his ankles to a chain hoist and one of his mechanics would hoist him up and let him hang by his ankles for awhile. His bad, painful back was good for a few days. I thought he was crazy, but now know it actually worked.

I had an inversion table. It works but a chin-up bar does the same thing, is cheaper, just as effective. If you want to stretch a rope it doesn't matter which end you pull. The whole thing stretches. I've even used the corner of a fridge when I was at another house. I could hang from the ladder on the trailer.

I think even with a cushion you would still be in bad shape with all the bouncing around. You have experience driving large trucks, so you should try to remember what it was really like.

    The might be seat belts.

My back don't like my seat belt pinning me down in one position.

I like to move around. Switching positions. I can drive all day without it. Only 30 minutes with it before I'm done. And need a break.
