Well ladies and gents. I'll be doing a reset here at the Wisconsin terminal getting paid 50$ a day per day until my truck gets a new turbo. Was running low on my recap and I'm also due home for 4 days since being out 4 weeks. Hopefully the tractor gets it's fixing so I can get a run and then another run home. Unless they put me in a new t-680 until mine is fixed...I wouldn't mind that they are darn sharp looking anyways ways. Pretty boring here terminal is closed on Sundays and not much to do for me. Probably go for a few walks try to sleep in late anything to make time go by. Drive safe and I'll keep you updated!

I'm glad to hear (that) Roger you're so far having an OK time at one of my hometown Trucking Companies but I wonder why..Your being from MA you are assigned to New Ulm? Isn't there one in Ohio or something closer to home for you? Just a question and I hope continued success is yours there however....Do you realize you are missing out on the Courtland,MN fish fry tonight??
RogerThat72 Thanks this. -
I feel as if I'm having a splendid time. Everyone is so very nice and respectful to the drivers. I'm glad I'm stationed out of the New Ulm, MN headquarters per say of the company. To answer your question yes there are two other terminals besides the headquarters in New Ulm, MN. One being in Wisconsin, and another in Ohio. They flew me to New Ulm so I'll take that over a bus ride any day lol!! Did not know that. When I was getting my truck two Fridays ago there was a huge beer fest type thing going on I forgot the exact name of it. I do love fish to bad I'm not in the area!!

Met yet another good guy that drives for this company. Didn't realize that the drivers lounge had a code for the door to be able to get in while the terminal was closed. Told me the code, showed me around. #### chatted for about an hour he didn't have one thing bad to say about J&R. I believe it because this company is truly a "Driver Friendly Company." He was just finishing up a reset then heading out early on a 1,200 mile load. The miles sure do seem to be here and he had not anything bad to say about his dispatcher or anyone else. I can honestly say that I think I have found that company that fits me and I just hope god willing I can stay here for a good amount of time before I reach my ultimate goal of a local hazmat tanker job. Until then I'll keep you posted of more about what I'm doing, runs, miles and the great people I meet along the way. Until next time. STAY SAFE. Out!
OPUS 7 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Well my truck got a fixing. Turns out it was a sensor. Due home in 3-4 days. My dispatcher got me a little 400 mile load that actually was 2,100 to California. We both decided it would be best interest for my home time to stay in the area and just pick this up and split it at the terminal for another driver. Actually getting loaded now and on my way up the check engine light came on for the Boost power. I think personally it's just a bad censor because the power and truck are driving fine. Going to fuel up once I leave here head back to the terminal and get that checked after splitting this load. Hey, maybe I'll get one of those new T-680 to replace this T-660. I can tell either way this rig will be getting sold soon because of the number and miles. Even know the miles are pretty low they keep good care of their equipment.

Got the light fixed again. They're thinking the same thing about it's probably just a bad sensor. Anyways heading home. Got my first 1,100 mile load from terminal in Wisconsin to Deleware. Every day just gets better and I keep meeting good people through this company. I have to give the mechanics a shout out here in tomah they are excellent. I went in 10 minutes later my trucks in the shop and they got it washed after they looked at it. Love it here!! Stay safe

Hey roger that, glad to hear you're enjoying it here at schugel so far! Sounds like you're on the reefer side of operations? Say hello if you ever see me

Sounds like a good start for you and a good company. They start out kinda low, .27 for student drivers but they'll be at .36 after 6 months. .09 cents of that is per diem. The list for what new drivers should bring is something I don't think I've seen on other websites.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Hey guys! I did an all time high today 600.2 miles in 10 hours and like 19 minutes. Had time to fuel and park. Actually made it from tomaha, WI terminal to just south of Cleveland I-76 pilot off of exit 209B. I love it here man it really is the best I feel anyways. Me and my dispatcher are using great communication, and I think were actually starting to have a good driver to dispatcher relationship. I'm leaving up at 3am already told him that I'm going to be at the delivery early and asked if that was ok. He is going to let me know nf thinks that's not going to be problem. Probably going to be able to get my next load or atleast hook up to it so I can run it to NY or CT then head home on personal drive time Thursday. Trying to beat that storm coming that everyone's predicting.
Anyways I'm Truck Deleted see you around. Everyone be safe!
p.s yes I'm on reefer. Didn't wNt to be but I'm so glad I did. If there isn't a reefer load pick up a dry freight load and go. It's working out real good here.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 24, 2014
