I'm triple preplanned for the remainder of my time out until I go home for Christmas. Next preplan picks up whenever on Sunday, it's preloaded with some cereal, then it goes to a... Menards? What don't these guys sell? That's heading to Illinois, and will give me 3160 miles for this week. Then my next preloaded trailer will be in romeoville, heading for Youngstown, OH. After that, my third and final preplan is preloaded in Ashtabula, and has 2 stops; one by DC, and the other in new castle, Delaware. Then I'm home free to enjoy the holiday. I sure hope these 3 preplans go swimmingly!

Rogerthat, how is the new truck treating you so far?

Ok so my miles for this week ending Monday are 2,895. Not going home for Christmas, I'll be home for New Years or atleast I told broc and got a simple "ok". My other dispatcher would have been like " I've entered it into the system thank you for letting me kno". I'll remind him again Monday and then Friday if he is even in that day.

The truck is great my MPG has gone up .7 and I'm averaging 7.5 and 8.1 today. APU works great and the truck was used for dedicated as I read the messages so it's not like it was getting run exactly the hardest. Bunk opens room up for me to put things up top. Only thing I can complain about is the guy just hopped in and drove it so he really didn't check tire pressure on the drives and I need to really check the pads on all the tires cause it has been squealing. Oh, and the fan belt squeks loud when turning on for coolant or whatever radiator fan belt idk I'm not a mechanic but I know what's squaling. So maybe more then one thing but it's deffiantly better then my old truck by a long shot. Oh and one more thing lol the fith wheel lever is different it's the one that's like really pushed in when latched and when I first did it I was pissed took like 3 minutes to get it to latch and stay so I could drop the trailer. The heals of the tires are down lower then the actual tread so I'll do my best to keep it at 110 then they'll have to probably replace them when the PM is due in 20,000 miles. Other then that can't
    complain about it.

wualcomm works good so I can actually do work flow instead of manually entering everything.

Next load was 1,200 but it " got cancelled". So, I got another one 800 miles to Joliet, IL. Asked about my home time wasn't even in the system until "January". Starting to get really frustrated with this Bull. I've already talked to somebody about this and it seems nothing has changed obviously. I never ever said I wanted to be home in January lol. That would put me over 5 weeks.

Sounds like you and your dispatcher are having difficulty communicating with each other. Make sure you TELL them, don't ASK, for home time. Be like "i'm going home on this date, and returning to work on this date", don't be like "I'd like to be home on this date". Also I thought you'd asked for a new dispatcher? Would you consider making a move over to dry van? There's plenty of freight to be moved on the dry side.

New dispatcher in January they said. Wanted dry can from day one, the out me on reefer. Gave a two week notice and a reminder today about home time luckily I called and asked. This is a one sides communication break down and it's not because of me. From now on I'll just have to call in and have another dispatcher out my home time in because that would have been the final straw right there.

im going to stick it out as long as possible I'll be buying a house soon then shopping around locally. What's going on now defiantly won't make me think twice about leaving when the time comes. Are the miles good, yes. Is the pay good yea, but you need communication with yor dispatcher. So like I said I'm going to stick it out regardless. Until I leave for home, which is anywhere from 6-10 months from now.

Next 3 trips aren't over 500 miles and end in IL.

Hmmm. Idk, as long as I get home that's all that really matters at this point. I'm due home on the 30th in Massachusetts. These are all drop and hook except for the last one that end in IL. That's a love load. Guess I'll find out in the next 3 days.

At this point and time I'm probably just going to take all of what I don't essentially need, refrigerator, extra clothes, this and that out in case I've completly had enough get a load to a terminal and just pack it up and go home. I've already got the ok( from the wife), it was defiantly a good run here. I've communicated on what I want and what's going on but it's what ever. Drivers come and go it's part of the industry. It is what is is. I made about 40,000 give or take in 10 months here which isn't to shabby for a true first year driver. with that being said, the next time I come out of the house will be either my last time out or a re buddle but I can honestly say if it doesn't change in done wasting my time. I have a 3 year old at home and a wife that misses me. I don't have the time for this I'm honestly ready to pack it all in now but I really like it here. So I'm trying my best to suck it up.
