Dude u seem like a pretty good driver, so don't mess up everything when it's a time to be patient. Trucking companies are doing all they can, and sometimes you just have to take one for the team. Or you will be like all the rest of the job hoppers who quit around this time, because they weren't able to get their way. Freight doesn't take holidays. Hopefully u can explain to your wife you may be a little late, but will get home as soon as you can. Ya keep beating the drum to dispatch, but understand trucking companies don't have a magical freight tree to keep everybody happy. Good luck in whatever u decide. Merry Christmas

Trust me, I know this company has it's fair share of problems, but I wouldn't quit over it. At the very least, wait until you get a new dispatcher. Jumping ship this early in your career is always risky. Like dinomite said, patience is a virtue. Don't forget that even though your wife and child back at home miss you, they also need someone to provide for them.

Dinomite, ghettochild and drvrtech77 Thank this.

If I don't get home for this dr appointment it could affect me getting re certified. I've been trying to find a new practice for months now.

was thinking about that but the problem there is. See, I live in a bad area for it. I live in western massachusetts in a small town called Adams. It's in between Albany, NY and Springfield, MA. About 45-50 miles one way so not really a good option. I have a tanker company called Holland Co out of adams but they want two years experience minimum( 10 months to go).

luckily today I talked to someone and they actually pulled some strings for me so I'm pre-planned to walmart in Pottsville, PA. Hopefully they let me dead head home 245 miles. I did DH home for thanksgiving from allentown in that winter storm so I'm just hoping they'll do that again.
