That's beside the point...customer charges to unload and now they want to charge to park there as well...cross that place of my list of places to go..

Couldn't agree more Dr V. The people who run albertsons are a bunch of creeps. I used to work at ACME, a subsidiary of albertsons we have here in New Jersey. Management there was very crude and unprofessional, everyone who worked there hated one another. Just a sorry place to be employed at. I haven't shopped there in 6 years, and I don't plan to ever again.

My load to Kansas City turned out to be a fluke. Arrived at my consignee 20 mins before my 10:30 appt. only to find out my appointment was for 10:30 PM, not AM. D'oh!!!!! I have no idea who screwed the pooch there but I'm not one to point fingers. I relaxed the rest of the day at the cabela's right next door. Not a big deal, who am I to complain about a half day off.. I'm already halfway into my next load, picking up right now in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Then I drop & hook in Northfield, MN. Seems inefficient to deadhead 274 miles to get a load that's going 245 miles, but it all pays me the same. I am paid to drive the truck, and drive the truck I will do.

My next preplan is a doozy. Picks up in Faribault, also a drop & hook, and has 2 stops; Loveland, Colorado and Apple Valley, California. Since it's the dead of winter, I'll need to pick up chains at HQ in New Ulm. Hopefully I will not have to use them. I'll tell you what though, I'm definitely souped to get away from the cold for a bit lol... Have a safe weekend everyone.

Ok let's get this updated shall we? Anyways, I went back for 2:30. They tried to get me to leave and come back for 3. Not having that I told them it's not going to happen. They let me in I checked in at three, and got my whopping 6 pallet load in loaded for free, no lumper.

next load 185 mile dead head to Decatur, IL. Took me 3 hours to go to Melrose, park to the truck stop on I-55 but I made it and parked for the night. Woke up got 50 gallons of fuel, and headed down. Upon my way down the wind was oh is say 30-45 mph gusts and some snow drift spots on the road I have to slow down to 25-35 mph in spots felt my drives break free twice and then luckily I know just to let off the petal so nothing happened. As for others though that were in ditches I guess they didn't want to slowdown. cleared up and I got down there. Loads 42,000 lbs thank god no worries for wind on this bad boy.

met up with another driver hs truck was set to 69mph and believe me he wasn't lieing cause when we stopped for fuel at I think Bloomington he blew me away. Here's where I feel like the biggest peice of crap. He was way up ahead of me and we got to to before the petro on I-39 there's a rest stop and I see this truck with 4 ways on. And I'm thinking to myself, that can't be him. We just fueld, and anti gelled up and he didn't make it into the rest area he was on the ramp. I'm doing 65 and it's dark. And low and behold it's him. No time to stop I thought maybe I should turn around but I don't know the area and the load is GPS tracked and all this mess. I still feel like a douche bag peice of #### right now. He had no cb so we couldn't communicate.

In south Beloit for the night doesn't deliver until Monday @ 11:00 am and no pre plan. So I'm assuming they need me to once again donate but well see.

Well, my 4th longest trip with J&R has now come to an end. Mother Nature tried her very hardest to try and stop me with a snowstorm in the Rockies, but I managed to pull through and get my freight delivered right on time. I'm getting unloaded right now in Apple Valley, then it's off to Calexico to pick up a load heading right back to, you guessed it, Minnesota. I wish I could just stay here in California because it's 56° with out a cloud in the sky 😩 but hey I'm sure Minnesota will have the same weather this time of year... Lmao, ah well, I suppose that's all part of the job. I'll have 3763 miles for the week come Monday morning. Ain't no rest for the wicked.

I have been begging for a trip to California. They won't give it to me! Don't know why. I've been running well, using my available hours, and all that good stuff. Josh says I need to get up to Minnesota first, but I've been there, and no load to Cali. Sucks.

Haven't done too much updating here of my experience with J&R Schugel. It's been 2 months and so far so good. Right now I'm sitting at Mclane here in Forest Park (Atlanta), GA waiting on a 1am appointment time. No pre-plan, but that's because I'm asking for home time in Florida, which they have no problem giving me, but getting there is the hard part. Tim O'Neal says Florida freight is really slow right now, so I'll most likely sit the better part of tomorrow. Fortunately I live in New Jersey, so when I want home time in New Jersey, there is never a problem getting there. Florida. HA!

You'll get a trip to California soon enough. We don't go out here too much, but it happens from time to time. This is only my second trip out here in my year and a half with the company. The reefer drivers come out here more often than us dry guys. However, I saw two J&R trucks heading north on the 15 as I was heading south from Vegas this morning. I also saw two in Utah yesterday. Sounds like they're holding out on us! Lol there's a couple of left coast customers, just don't expect them to happen all that often. It's really just luck of the draw.

and by the way, where are you from in NJ? I live down by Atlantic City and grew up in mays landing

You'll get one. Anyways I'm broken down at the kenworth in Atlanta. Going to be here a while. $50 a day after the first 24 hours? Lol anyways here it goes. EGR Plugged, Coolant valve leak( blew out), head light ( lmao) trap pressure, engines eating 1 jug of oil per week.

Schugel has a dedicated Malt-O-Meal run there in Utah. There's a few dry van guys who run it. This comes from one of the dry van guys I met in New Ulm one day.

Neptune, NJ out on the coast near Crime[As]bury Park.

I drive reefer myself. Josh out of Columbus is my dispatcher. New, so he's getting his footing.
