Dispatch asked me to bring the load I picked up in California to the New Ulm terminal & drop it there so they could work on my front end. I got some very unfortunate news from the body shop when I was there. This dirtball who backed into my hood a few weeks ago hit the truck much harder than I had figured. He hit it so hard that I had to change trucks permanently because it will take far too long to repair it. So now I'm in another blue freightliner, but its a year older, has 87k more miles, and the interior is not as nice as mine was (couple scratches and blemishes from the former driver, nothing serious). Goodbye 12492, I'll miss you. Our time together was short, but splendid nonetheless. 😢

After getting all of my stuff into my "new" truck, I was assigned a load that was sitting in the yard going 173 miles away to New Hampton, Iowa. Finished up a 34 hr at the yard, hooked up to my load of plastic buckets & lids, and took off. As I was getting unloaded, my next preplan came in: picks up 51 miles away in St. Ansgar heading for Salt Lake City, Utah. Drop & hook on both ends. Sweet. It doesn't deliver until Friday but I'll most likely deliver it tomorrow since it's a drop & I'm only 389 miles from the final at the Petro in Laramie, WY. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Ta ta for now.

Hey atleast your truck isn't torn up like this guy jack knife turn around in a small lot and smashed a poles down the side. I'm getting all kind of looks. Some people shaking their head, some looking at me like I have three heads lmao. Pre planned to Columbus 350 miles. Think I'm dropping this truck off packing the stuff I brought and riding down to Atlanta with someone at some point to go and get my truck thank god!! No CB no sirius xm no refriderator and all my other stuff. I had no motivation to drive at all. My dispatcher probably thinks I'm a truck stop junkie lmao

That truck you've got is a mess but far from the worst I've seen. And who cares if people look at you funny, they shouldn't be judging a book by it's cover 😉

Got to my customer in Salt Lake City, but instead of a drop & hook, I'm dropping & waiting several hours for my empty trailer to be ready... No big deal, my next load doesn't pick up until tomorrow, literally less than 4 miles away. Delivers in Neenah, WI and Carol Stream, IL for Monday. That will put me at 2998 miles for this week, respectively. That will also put me at 10,790 miles for the month. January is shaping up to be a stellar month!

Well this is going to be a hell of a weekend and I'll be exhausted by the time it's over. Not to mention I need to do this and make my dot physical for the 27th. Loading up in carol stream, IL to kraft in Columbus. Dead head 465 miles to Philadelphia pick up a load to t-Call it in the allentown yard. Then dead head to Elizabeth, pa to Mars pick up a load to t-call it in the IL drop yard( heard it's changed for the better, will find out). Pre planned from hub one in romeville to Fridley on a mcdonalds load then dead head from there to make my appointment on the 27th for 9:00 am. 2275 total lol pretty good when they want to be

Cancel the load in Philly thank god. So carol stream, IL to Columbus, OH. Then take empty hoping an old trailer is there with duals because I have to dead head to Mars in Elizabeth, pa with the storm. Pick up preloaded heavy load and run it back to Harvey, IL. Then DH to romeville, IL pick up mcdonalds load and up to Fridley then drop and hook and head to new ulm for my physical. That's deffiantly do able.

Hope everyone is playing it safe out there in this disastrous winter weather. Next load was supposed to pick up right in Chicago heading for Georgia, but when I reminded them that I'm going home on Thursday, they told me they cannot guarantee a load home to New Jersey when I get there. So they had me pick up the preloaded trailer anyway and t call the load in Harvey. Good thing I reminded them I was going home lol... Preplanned for a live load tomorrow up in Milwaukee, that's going to North Brunswick, NJ. Then deadhead 84 miles to the house and enjoy 5 1/2 glorious days off. Hopefully the foot or more of snow we're expecting doesn't cause too much hysteria amongst the locals. Everyone tends to lose their minds and bum rush the grocery stores whenever the word "snow" is mentioned...

Pre planned on a Wrigleys load to Keenesaw, GA. Thought we lost this account or maybe it's a different place. Haven't done this one in like 6 months. Let's see, I called dispatch begging to get my truck back. They said that it's possible I might have to give a ride down to GA and he will take this truck but I doubt it probably just more smoke up my ###. I'm almost out of BP meds too because I was told this would only be for like a week and I brought enough for two left the rest behind. What else, oh yeah they must be having trouble getting people home because this guy from Pittsburg said they wanted him to take a load home or else they couldn't get him home. He refused so he's still out met him in Columbus. Hmmmm what else, oh I cancelled my appointment for my physical because they couldn't get me to New ulm with 2 weeks notice and also I got then to cancel that load to mn because I would have been late by a day to even get to my appointment. Let's see, oh reminded them my home time is the 4th and got a response it's "in the computer". Pretty much sums it up oh and I'll have probably my best pay check this Thursday even knowing they wouldn't reimburse me for the cab because I forgot to get a receipt for their favor. So no more favors, period. Well that's enough for me for now.

Oh forgot to mention when I was in Columbus the mechanic told me this truck hasn't been serviced in so long that it could shut down to the red check engine light at any time. Tried to get a different loaner "nope" hmmm let's see yup that's about it can't remember anything else at this time. Other then I'm most likely departing from schugel in MAY due to a job offer I recieved.
