I'm going to a 7 truck fleet that Hals chemicals for water out of a plant about 3 miles from my house. Home every night all weekends off unless you want to work. im going to be 26, my son just turned 4, and the wife said "I'm getting lonly, and am over you being on the road". It's been my goal before I even enrolled in New England tractor trailer school. 60k starting is ideal for me. So, luckily I got a call from there Longistics department that they are looking to move forward and bring me on in May. Now, can things fall through possibly. That's a long way off from now and now that the good news came it's going to feel like it's taking forever.
With thy that being said I don't think schugel has gone down hill. I think, with the hiring of the dedicated kraft guys, some of the lanes that were there when I first started have been locked down for dedicated. I've had a great run here some downs but mostly ups. I would deffiantly reccomend schugel to an up and coming driver and a seasoned driver as well.
I think I'm done posting anything else as I have just about hit my 1 year mark with schugel so there's really nothing more for me to post. I haven't sugar coated anything and I've posted how it is from day one. I might post just my miles to give an example of what I'm running in these next couple months and that's it. Only will post answers to any questions anyone has about the company to the best of my knowledge. Thanks hope you enjoyed my blog be safe and well

Boy, this thread has certainly quieted down... Hope everyone is still running good out there.
First of all, I'd like to wish Rogerthat good luck on his new potential employer. I hope it's everything you want it to be.
Came out of the house last Wednesday, ran 2158 miles for a 5 day week. Currently under a load that I picked up in York, PA heading for Harrisonville, MO. Drop & hook on both ends. Will deliver tomorrow around noon, then preplanned out of Lenexa, Kansas to Eau Claire, WI, which is also a drop. Will have 2606 miles by Saturday for the week so far, hopefully I can squeeze in one last trip before Monday. -
Have always heard that they are a good company and the driver's I've spoken to have very little to say negatively. Just wish they hired in my area. This whole "we don't hire east of I95" is getting really old.

After the Wisconsin load was dropped, I deadheaded to MOM brands in Faribault, MN to pick up a load going to Urbana, Illinois for a Monday morning delivery. 3181 miles for the week. -
Two weeks notice in. Was told I could come back within 6 months without having to do orientations. Last week $0 for taking 9 days off. This week most likely 500$ and currently sitting on a 1,300 mile load that has 3 stops and needs to be done in 4 days. 11 days until I turn in my truck in Columbus. Yippie ky yay! Over and OUT!
