Now that I'm not an employee and won't go back( my choice). Carrie stone is a ##### and she always has something smart to say. Anyways, you should have just took the 6 days instead of 4. That might just come back on you. Time will tell. Hope your all safe, and sound. Out!

We are just robots out here RogerThat72. We are not expected to have personal lives, and make plans.

I book a hotel and event for 4 days, and ask a company to accommodate that after being out for 5-6 weeks; I would think would seem reasonable to a reasonable person. But Carrie is saying things like "rent a car" or "take the bus".

Home-time is a deal breaker for me. They have one more time to screw up on this and I'm out of here. I'd rather go back to working for the carnival If I can't have the load planner's and my Fleet Manager making sure I get my home-time.

Don't know who Carrie Stone is, but sounds like I don't want to know who she is... Leaving the house tomorrow, live load at Aleris in Clayton heading to La Crosse, WI for Thursday. Good times

Been a pretty laissez-faire past few days. Only hiccup I've encountered was leaving the house on Tuesday.

With all of the snow melting & rain over the past weekend, lots of mud accumulated underneath my truck. I used all of mine and the trucks might to escape the wet soil, but no dice. I was just sinking myself further and further into the mud. After 20 minutes of angrily spewing out obscenities, I noticed Bob (my friends father who co-owns the yard I park the truck at) had just arrived at the yard from a job he did this morning. Bob and his brother Dave own a rigging business in my hometown, and when I saw him, I asked him if he could pull me out, and he said "no problem". A few minutes later, he pulls up to my truck with a little tractor, we hook up chains to my bumper, and the little tractor tugged me out in no time. I thanked him and apologized for tearing up all the dirt, now I have to do the right thing and clean up the mess I made when I get home. Curse me and my respectable ways.

Picked up at the shipper in Clayton, was in and out within an hour. Delivered to the consignee in La Crosse without a hitch, then it was off to the Tomah terminal to get a T called load en route to Plymouth, MN for tomorrow morning. Delivery appt was for 5 am Friday, and I wouldn't have the time to take a 10 and deliver on time, so it was either do a split sleeper or call the customer and ask if I could sleep in their parking lot. Customer gave me the okay since they close at 5pm, and went straight to the business and camped in their empty receiving area. That was a huge help.

Next load, deadhead 16 miles to Dayton, MN for a load heading for York, PA. Had to wait until 1300 to get the full load since this is a mail load, and I had to wait for all of the post at the end of the day.. Was supposed to be preloaded too, but they had no empty trailers available to use. Dagnabbit. So that ended up being a 2 hour live load. No big deal, I don't have to be in York until 800 Monday. I am 407 miles away from York now, and will finish the whole trip tomorrow since the customer allows overnight parking. These guys usually take a while to unload us, so they might as well take their time during my 10 hr break. Plus I'll probably get a better load since I'll have a full day of hours to utilize.

2406 miles for 6 days of work, 401 average miles a day ain't too bad. After this load, If I can get 2865 miles by the end of the month, I'll have 10k miles for March. That'll make me a happy camper.

Well I got my load to York off in about 2 hours, which is significantly shorter than I figured it would take.. No complaints from me though... While getting unloaded, I received my next assignment.. A drop & hook at Church & Dwight, which is also in York. I headed over there, only to find out that they had no empty trailers available to put the cargo on. So a 20 minute drop and hook turned into a 2 1/2 hour live load 👎 this problem rarely ever happens, but this is the second load in a row that it's happened..

Once I finished up there, off to Carol Stream, Illinois I went. Ohio had some snow come down (really? I thought we were done with this sheittt already) but that couldn't stop me. The only thing that could've potentially stopped me was running out of fuel... I made a pitstop at a pilot while I was in Ohio, and bought 193 gallons for my two 100 gallon tanks. That was cutting it a little too close for my comfort!

The rest of the trip was smooth sailing, did my unload in Carol Stream tonight. Pulled up to the guard shack at Jewel-Osco, and they had told me that my appointment was for tomorrow night at 1730, not tonight at 1730. My immediate thought was Noooooooo!!!! But The receiving office told them via walkie-talkie that they could unload me tonight, thank goodness. I would've been heated if I was stuck on this load for another day. Two hours and $150 for the lumper later, I was out of there, then deadheaded to Romeoville for my next load to Edwardsville, KS. This customer is also a drop and hook, but the load info on the Qualcomm said it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Since it was getting late and I knew they had overnight parking, I decided to trek over there and wait until morning for the trailer to be ready, only to arrive there and find out the trailer actually was preloaded, awesome! And I found $10 on the ground while I was at the customer! Which I'm still amazed that I actually found, considering it was pitch black outside. Nice to see my luck finally changing!

Decided to clock another 80 miles before calling it quits here in Pontiac, IL. I'll complete the rest of the journey tomorrow. As for now, I'm ready for some shut eye.

Dude for real, days like yesterday make me really enjoy doing what I do.

Got my next assignment this morning before I took off, picks up in Grandview, MO tomorrow heading for Savage, MD by 0600 Saturday. Kind of a tight deadline, but I always enjoy a challenge. 😏

Dang! Well try to look on the bright side... I'm spending the night in Kearney, MO and it's pouring rain up here. I'm sure the southern Arizona weather is treating you well. Plus, this trip will take you through Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Those are 3 out of 6 states in the contiguous 48 I've never been to yet. Definitely jealous about that! I've always wanted to see the cascade range... I'll take that trip to Grandview over a trip to Maryland any day lol.. Plus I'm sure, or at least hoping, Lessors will give you some kind of detention pay for your troubles. Gotta look at the positives, my dude!
