I deleted my Facebook not too long ago, it was for the better. Facebook gets you in trouble. Lol
I received a preplan for the weekend yesterday, a drop & hook that picks up in Eldersburg, Maryland heading for Columbus and Cincinnati. This is one of those really easy customers to deal with, they close operations on the weekends and leave the bills in the trailer for you. Hooked up to my trailer....... Only to find my rear passenger trailer tire completely flat. Oh joy!!! Now I am currently sitting at the customer, waiting for TA road service to arrive. Kudos to the inconsiderate, waste of space jagaloon who dropped the trailer in this condition.

I think I'm in trouble! I started in Romeoville, IL this morning. I just arrived here in Pottsville, PA at Hillshire Farms just after 2. I had 9 minutes left on my DOT clock back in Elysburg, PA (Eastbound on PA-54). I logged out and "drove to a safe haven". At that point in Elysburg, PA I had logged 649 miles . I took the Indiana Tollway and the Ohio Turnpike and I-80 to Danville, PA where I picked up 54. Pulled over in Elysburg, found that "it wasn't a safe location" and pressed on to a safe location which happened to be my receiver. It would have been 30 minutes away from Danville had I stuck to I-80 to I-81, but I didn't.
This is by far the most miles I have ever done in an e-log truck @649 miles. This is not to include Danville to Pottsville. I'm beat. Not too shabby I'll say.
My appointment is at 8:00am EST.
This is called "Gettin' 'er done!"
Hopefully I don't get a call from Lu Monday morning. -

I was late for my pick-up in Romeoville, IL, so I ended up sleeping late, so I lost 4 hours. The only way I knew to make it up for it was to run the IN and OH Toll roads, and I did make it up. I stopped to wet a tire, take my mandatory 30 and fuel. I didn't waste any time. I feel that paying $60 to avoid a service failure is a choice. I would have been late had I ran 30 to 70 to 76 to 81. 30 would have killed me.
I'll send an email to josh and ask him for a PO, but I doubt it. I spend $60 on lottery, so I'm not too worried about it.
Right now I'm on some personal time, going to help some friends out. Left my truck in a secure, locked, private lot in MD and am currently flying to Charleston, SC to drive a friend's vehicle up to MD. I'll make 3 days Schugel pay in one trip, so it's definitely worth it.
The trip to PA I just hauled ### on got me to a meager 2200 miles. Not too bad, as I'll make it up in pay from my friends. No biggie. -
Sitting in a door at C & S in York PA again... This is the second time in a month I've been to this hellhole... They must be trying to torture me for a ticket I got not too long ago. Yes, you read that right, I received a ticket for being in a restricted lane on US30 in Columbia City, IN. Now I'll admit, I made a mistake there. But to be honest, I wouldn't be in this mess if the company would just ante up and pay for the toll roads, instead of paying us no extra miles to go around them. These stupid restricted tollroads have been frustrating me a lot lately, to the point where I want to switch companies. Once I get my ticket situation straightened out (I am fighting the ticket) I think it's high time to find a different employer. An employer who won't send me to the C&S warehouse, the absolute worst customer we go to, for an 1800 appointment on the day I'm supposed to go home. At this rate, I'll be lucky to make it home before midnight, since I live over 3 hours away. This is not okay in my book.
On a positive note, I turned 10,029 miles for the month of March. Also turned 2770 +1 stop for last week, and 1432 for this week, as I am heading home today... Well, hopefully today. 😕 -
I couldn't imagine around the tolls. We run the hell out of the toll roads.

When I first started working here, I had to do a load from the Baltimore area to Sterling Heights, MI. Instead of just taking 70 up to the turnpikes that would take you straight to 280 near Toledo, they suggested I take 42k lbs up 322 through state college. Lol, I said to hell with that. Instead I did 70/76-PA66-US22-376-279-79-80-OH11-OH82-US422-480-77-90-OH2-280.. To say it was a massive headache would be an understatement!!!! -
Left the house yesterday, went up to Arizona beverage in Edison, NJ heading for Joliet, IL. Kicked that load off tonight relatively quickly. Now I'm spending the night at the Walmart a mile up the road from my next pick up, which will be heading for a drop & hook in Kansas City. Haven't spent the night at a Walmart since I worked for Werner. I forgot how quiet and peaceful they are! It's thunder storming right now here in northern Illinois, which is perfect sleeping weather for me. Good night, folks.

percentage so I ran heavy when i could (Pa toll roads weigh ya as you roll thru the gate - pay by weight), 322 is all 4 lane to i-80 now - I was across there this winter driving for the
mickey mouse co. I just quit... 322 had about 20 mi of 2 lane when I ran it back then. Doubt you saved much more than an hour going the way you went... for a $50+ toll. the Ohio Pike is
MUCH cheaper. just for future referenceAWESOME thread btw - Thanks guys! I'm gonna fill out an app tonight... if they'll hire me out of Orlando (just moved here in December)
** I stand corrected - I see you ARE allowed to run the section of the PA Pike you ran... kinda screwy toll road rules i c lolLast edited: Apr 9, 2015
