Haha yeah we can do some of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but not all of it. We might be willing to give you a shot out of Orlando, but you'll definitely be pulling a reefer. You'll have to contact the recruiter about that one.

Got a preplan this morning for tomorrow. Deadhead to Harrisonville for a load to Eau Claire, WI for Saturday. Drop & hook on both ends. Goooood times

I was just on 322 the other day and it's not that bad. Some two lane stretches do exist, but it's not terrible. Would rather run the turnpike, but thats ok.

Well you guys seem to still be doing good. Hope all is well and yur safe and sound after those Thunder storms. Anyways, I sure don't miss indiana especially cutting through on those U.S. route roads.

Well as as for me, things have slowed down but are picking back up. Starting a curbing gig hauling marble cut stone peiced around mass to different construction sites for curbs as I stated. Paid by the load but it's not a bad gig. Ah well take care maybe I'll get a picture or two of the old gem I'm driving. Be safe!

Glad to hear things are working out for you post-Schugel. Although, I thought you said you were going to work for a chemical hauler in your hometown?

I've been here at Schugel for six months as of April 3rd. I'm starting to have mixed feelings. The pay has been ok, the miles have been ok. They've put up with my 3 preventable non-moving incidents and I still have a job.

I'm starting to see some of Schugel's true colors. Toll roads are a given, but pulling good runs leaving a driver with didily-s%*# for miles has happened last week (1600 miles last week). A good bit of sitting when I should be driving. Not fixing hours when Qualcomm went down last week. HR posting admonishments on Facebook about a driver who pissed on his tire. Long waits for truck washes and truck care, a dispatcher who doesn't answer the phone 90% of the time, and only answers Qualcomm messages 40% of the time. Planners who don't get the whole picture. Too much PA and NJ. No options for a pet-rider policy and $0.36cpm.

I need 6 more months here. That will add 1 year of traditional OTR to my 2 years driving for the Carnival Amusement industry and I think my option will be Perdue Farms Transportation, if they will hire me. I'm really not sure if Schugel will be the long-haul option for me unless I get some semi-dedicated California freight from Minnesota to Cali, back-haul and back out again. There are companies in Gaylord, MN and Hopkins that do just this...Haul egg products from MN and Wine back to MN. It's what I want. I like Minnesota. Cold winters in all, so I am moving to Minnesota next month, with or without Schugel.

I just hope they can pep things up. They're announcing something "big", so I'll see what that is.

    That is my rant.

With 3 preventables in less than 6 months, you better settle in at Schugel.

Incidents, not accidents. Minor at that. Less than$500 damage on one and less than a grand on the other.

doesn't matter you still cost the company money and damages and there for other companies will look at that and when they see how many accidents / incidents you've had in such a short period of time they will toss your application in the garbage can so to speak

    runningman0661 and joseph1135 Thank this.

Wow I hD a huge 2 paragraph post but forget it. So here it is for shorts. Chemical tanking I had an interview went very well. Had a call back, for a ride along. It feel through for some reason, then no call after that. Turns out I need a year of tanker preferably hazmat. I was led on but whatever it's not a job to just walk into especially if all drivers are making 60+ full time.

Still pulling ing local for the heavy haulers. Not a bad gig did a curbing job just a delivery in Boston just a few blocks from the garden in Cambridge ma. Right by the museum and state police barracks. I was 100,000 lbs or 50 tons. Leave at 3-4 am home 12-1 depending. Try pull for a company that does precast cement for bridges and parking garages. They have the tapenzee bridge contract to start so there works and money to be made.

trucks a 2001 T800 coffin sleeper 18 speed CAT pre EGR and DEF And regen. Had to get use to the jake brake screaming without a silencer now I love blasting that bad boy. Doing this for now most likely return OTR end of May first choice superior if I can get in and QC second. Hope all ism
