Owner Op here. Given a JB Hunt load with 5 stops. Was suppose to load out at 3am shipper did not get me loaded untill 10am. Was only able to get 4 stops off the trailer that day and had to return the last load to the shipper.
JB Hunt only paid part of the invoice. Cut it short by $200.00. Not worth the hassle. They are rip offs. Beware.

If you don't complete the load, you don't get paid for whole load. Welcome to ownership.

Why wouldn't you complete the stops?

We do regular runs for JB, they pay well and they pay on time. No complaints.

Dave_in_AZ and Bo Hunt Thank this.

Lay over and deliver the last stop---stuff like this happens in trucking. If that ruins your whole life maybe you should look for a job you like.

You guys are missing the reason why he didn't get whole load off
.... The shipper was supposed to have him loaded at 3am but didn't hold up to the agreement

So who's fault is it that he didn't get the whole load delivered?

He should've also charged detention for the 7 hrs of sitting in their dock

akfisher, sevenmph and slick14 Thank this.

Like I said...Was suppose to be loaded out by 3am...wasn't loaded until 10am. With the miles and the time you could not get the 5 stops off in a day. This happened to be on a friday, and they would not pay to hold me over the weekend so it had to be returned to the shipper. I don't think the carrier should have to pay for the shippers mistakes. Do you?

Yes...Should have but I let that slide, the $200.00 was to take the load all the way back to the Shipper.

Did you call their arrival / detention hot line when you got to shipper?
I know if you omit that step, they will not pay detention.
But I've pulled JBH loads as O/O, and I'll take all I can get.
