Hello!
I am about to go to JB Hunt Intermodal and was just wondering what exactly the "physical performance exam" consists of? Stair stepping? Weights? Squats? The only thing I could find on youtube was Schneider's physical test. All I could get out of the recruiter was it was just some basic exercises and they monitor your heart rate. I'm just worried because I'm pretty out of shape and wanted to be able to prepare for it the best I could.
Thank you

I did mine a couple years ago. I don’t remember everything but it seemed to be more of a movement test than physical. They put these sensor things on you and you had to move in certain ways and the info went into a computer. There were no exercise bikes or weight lifting or anything like that. Might want to stretch a little bit but that’s about it. That’s how mine was anyway.

The physical is mostly for seeing that you can move freely in all directions without pain. Up and down one step to see what your heart rate is. Pick up light weight, I think like 25 pounds.
Note, the new thing they are doing is checking all your muscles for pain. They take reading so later when you file a claim that you hurt yourself they have a "baseline" for pain to check. Basically covering their ### for false claims.Need4Speed and Team818 Thank this.
