Just talked to a recruiter there. According to the federal gov't service animals are not to be classified as pets. According to the American's with disabilities act of 1998 they aren't According to JCT they still are. This is discrimination. As has been seen with lawsuits vs werner, swift, crst etc, trucking is no longer friendly to partially disabled vets who can still do the job. Guess I will be contacting my attorney on that one.
JCT lease purchase data. Know before you go.

JCT can't discriminate on somebody that has a service animal that is clearly a violation of the law

Just thought I would toss this out there. A lot of "experts" on these boards harp on the "fact" that lease purchase interest rates will gouge your eyes out; or at least make you sell the kids, pimp the wife, mortgage the farm and eat the dog.
The rate that I'm paying is a whopping 10.5%. Criminal!
TAMachoCyclone, CannonballAA, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -
Have you checked rates if you were to buy a truck? I've never leased or purchased a truck so just curious what the difference (if any) is. Also, how do they come up with 10.5%? Is it the same rate for everyone or is like buying/leasing a car and determined by your credit rating, etc...?
-
With 25% down it was 24+% apr. and with 50% it was 12ish for new purchase with poor credit, so that wasn't going to happen.
The l/p at JCT is a per mile charge and is the same rate for everyone. It isn't actually an apr rate, I just figured what I was paying in fees and calculated that to an interest rate.

But doesn't that lease take like 13-14k down? I doubt most guys have that
-
dang driver what are you looking at it's 0 down at jct!94coupe Thanks this.
-
No he was talking about a lease at prime. It takes like 5-15k down
-

If you aren’t blind, I don’t see the reasoning behind a service dog. I am a vet and have seen my share of horrific death. Who knows, I may be permanently scarred from those experiences. But even so, I get up each day and put on big boy pants and face the day.Jarhed1964, Vic Firth and fishonron Thank this.
