Here we can speak pretty free. Up there they can say Eh? That is because they need time to have some of that maple drink and think about what to say next eh?

Anyhow. I know things are rough in Ukraine. If you want to come here to make a new future and a life... come on. But again, you have been fair warned. So many who will try to abuse you here. This industry is really hard on those who make a mistake and hit something minor. Then they are fired and branded preventative accident unable to be hired a while. It's not something you want to try to deal with early in your efforts to build a new home here.

If you know anything about farming, go to the Midwest or up to the east of the rockies. That is where most of our farming is. Coal is West Virginia. Odessa would be very similar to say... Jacksonville FLA. for the things that they do. Some of which is not exactly lawful.

If you come out of Kiev, you probably will discover a little bit of heaven here in the USA because there are no Kievs here.

I'd try New Zealand for immigration. Seems they're a little more level headed down there.

NZ has got tougher on immigration aswell, but plenty of work available. I should know, I'm currently stuck here...

Lots of different ways of gaining entry, significant investor is one of the fast track ways of getting in, but IIRC, it's minimum 5 million investment, but it's overnight citizenship. Peter Thiel was granted NZ citizenship this way and its caused a bit of a fuss recently.

Pretty sure truck driver is on our current skills shortage list, so getting an entry visa shouldn't be too hard.

 

Never get a work visa for trucking not happening. You can get one to come pick grapes or work in a fish factory here in Alaska in Summer. Marry an American is another way.

 

Work in USA as truck driver is almost impossible these days. Only legal way is to obtain Green Card on lottery. You can not work with H1B visa (that is for highly educated and does not include truck driver jobs) neither with H2B visa, that is seasonal work visa. Also, you can not take CDL test with work visas.

 

Actually you can get a CDL on a H2b visa as i got one the only visa you can't use is a B1/B2 if your interested try US Custom Harvesters Inc they hire people for the grain harvest and have a huge list of harvester operators they may even use the h2a which is a special visa issued for agricultural workers.
