I don't know if you took that load, I would not have... What I used to do with my flat in CA, was look for LTL freight heading in the direction I wanted to go, back towards Michigan. I had a regular run to San Diego and stayed with a buddy for a few days, which gave me time to put all of this together. The pay was always good, and always got me back to the house in a timely fashion.

I'm leased onto a carrier. So not my own authority.

I may need to invest in DAT to look at myself then going with offers from the Agents.

Any landstar guys on here? What do yoh get?

I run the I-5 leased to a carrier @ 79%. I usually haul wine out of the bay area if possible because its always paying me at least 2.00 a mile. Most the freight I haul out of cali north runs in the 1.8 - 2.25 range. Here is my last load out of cali the other day. From Riverbank, CA to Tacoma, WA - 849 total miles - empty pallets so light weight - paid me $1897.5 which is 2.23 per mile. The lowest pm rate last month out of cali was 1.95.
Shotgun94 Thanks this. -
Last time I did, I took $4.50/mile in and $1.70/mile out for a round trip of $3.10 TTT, on a CARB exemption.DougA Thanks this.
