Thanks all. I know a bobtail is a tractor but company A calls it a straight truck. Company A was a flower nursery delivering to Home Depot's and Costco from Redding down to LA Kalifornia. Worst state ever to find work and I'm on the coast which means I have to go over an hour away from the tourism industry to find a trucking job. Today had the interview and took a road test in a 13 speed at Company B. They told everything was good and they will call me tomorrow morning with an offer. Good news is it's only 30 minutes away in wine country near some of the best waves in Central California. 6 months of on the job tanker training but hell my start time is 8 am and we work 40 to 50 hours a week with weekends off! I'm telling you I was about to sign on OTR this week but I got lucky and filled out my app with EVERYTHING copied and present. Jobs are there even in the golden state....

Good work. Even though all jobs will have their days, just remember you could be sleeping in a truck every night making squat for pay!

Congrats. I have been saying for years to get out and meet people face to face when applying for a job. In this age of computers and social media that puts you ahead of 90% of the job seekers. It shows initiative and supervisors want that.

Congrats, man. It feels good to hear a job success story, specially one right out of school. Gotta stay persistent.
