Well, not much stuff the last few weeks that made me say, "what the hell." Did ge a good false log today where the driver thought he was clever. Logged 5 hrs to drive a 500 mile trip and was puzzled when I gave him the WTF look.

Just been run of the mill stops, bad tires, log book issues, and overweights. I'll post the stupid stuff as soon as I encounter it.

I thought we were going to drop the petty bickering and discuss diesel bear's interactions with the low IQ crowd.

If you want to have a thread to argue about weight and miles then by all means start it. I'll be happy to move the posts out of here that do not go with this thread.

Please listen to the suggestion of taking the pissing match some where else.

The "push rod stroke" discussion has been moved to another thread.

I just spent 15 minutes getting this one back on topic. Please help keep it that way. Thank you.

I did a STUPID thing just the other day. Slid my tandems all the way back at the shipper in LA. Then I drove all the way to nearly Fresno before I realized I forgot to slide them forward. Went through the weigh station on the Grapevine and passed numerous CHP but didn't get stopped. Just goes to show that the lord looks out for those with limited mental capacity!

Been a busy week with a lot of bracelet wearing by folks I have encountered. Friday I stop this local straight truck that does landscaping. When I contacted the driver, I recognized him from a previous contact. The driver was a DUI and marijuana lockup from a 1998 traffic stop that I had when I was a road trooper. He immediately recognized me as I had put him in jail for 1 year from that stop. Back in 98 when I put the bracelets on him he sheet his pants, and I will never forget him, his name or his face. It took two days to get the smell out of my vehicle back then. On Friday he was driving on a revoked and suspended license, which has been revoked since 2006 and the license had expired last December. It was quite amusing to me that the owner would show up and tell me he had just checked the motor vehicle records of all of his driver, including Mr. Sheet my Pants. I mean, he's only been revoked for 4 years, I'm sure that would show up if you did a half arse check. When I asked the owner for his license, he was taken aback wondering why I needed them. I informed him he would know shortly. When I returned with three hefty citations for him, he seemed confused. Hopefully after the compliance review, everything will be crystal clear. :biggrin_25511:

Bracelet wearing is funny as long as its the other guy.

COPS is one of my favorite shows.

Sounds like that particular case Mr low IQ hires even lower IQ workers.

Had a fella that wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer on Wednesday. I stop him and he's very adament that he is only driving about 100 feet from where I stopped him. I asked for his license at least 4 times which he says he doesn't have with him. After I bring him out and ask for his name and birthday, he gives 2 different birthdays. I then asked him to take his wallet out and what ID's are in there. Surprisingly he had 4 ID's in his wallet that were photo ID that showed a birthdate. Funny, he didn't give me exactly his full name, and no where near his correct birthday. I knew I was on a path to a wanted man, after a quick record check I confirmed my suspicions. The guy has never had a license and had an existing warrant for driving without a license.

The scary or sad part is that for everyone that he catches, how many get by?

Not just by him, but are running on all of the roads.

Won't have any enforcement activity posts this week. Out of State teaching a class, then camping all weekend. Even dieselbears need a
    R & R period. Thankfully I'll have my 34 hr reset.
