I do lol. I take off, I’m off. Not answering phone ;)

My obligation to any company ends at quitting time. I know others will disagree. But I think this is what causes people a lot of unnecessary stress. The inability to unplug.

I will go with K&B country may take a hit one thing is pretty certain my uncle would tell me he has far more driving experience from the army to the civilian is there always a need somewhere I may stay at K&B maybe 2 years I may leave nothing is certain in life I will, however, try to stay as long I can till cons outweigh the pros swift cons have outweighed the pros they have started making bogus stuff hurt my spotless record, I take that very seriously maybe a tactic keep people having nowhere else to go. Me I have always had a last resort plan relatives work but I always will have that only as a last resort that said other people should always have a backup plan my uncle always did even when he was an independent trucker.

Thanks, everyone for your input especially Chinatown.

I work for a company that guarantee a $1,000 minimum pay. They don't go to the Northeast and pull dry vans. The only down side I would say is they run the truck pretty hard, I think. We work 70 or as close as dispatch can get up to 70 in 6 days every week. We do a 34 hour reset every weekend at home or at truck stop. So it 14 hours most days, take your 10 off and get up and go.

They never let use sit. They will send us empty out of a bad area before they let us sit. Because if we sit they are still on the hook for $1,000 minimum.

I think it dose mess up your home time some, because the will expect you get home at 10pm Saturday and be ready to leave Monday morning at 8am. When they say 34 hour off they mean 34 hour not 35 or 36.

I have load this weekend I'm taking home it has open delivery time 7am- 10pm on Monday. Dispatch want me to go home and leave out 7am Monday and drive 368 miles. So they can get another load on my truck Monday. I would rather stay home till 1pm and deliver at 10pm. But they won't let that happen. Because they are on the hook for that $1,000 minimum pay.

Brandt, thanks for the video, I'm sure those 3 dispatchers you spoke to won't be happy to know they're on YouTube now telling you to risk it all. F 'em! Lol...

You seem like a good guy, I'm gonna share with you my advice. If it had been me, I would've stopped, turned off all communication devices and hit the hay for 2 hours. Then when you woke up and resumed driving, that's when you call them on your headset while driving. That way you don't spend 30 minutes arguing with 3 different imbeciles who couldn't care less about your safety or those around you. If they were to fire you for it, so be it. And you could have sued them successfully once your side of the story came out in court, if you're so inclined to do so. If not, go on to the next job brother. Been doing this almost 20 years now. I used to slap myself in the face like a 'tard to stay awake nights sometimes. Now I pull over... sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. And I've never had a load rejected once I arrived late because of it. Is K&B gonna take care of your family if you die in a crash, or if you go to jail for wiping out someone else? Didn't think so. Priorities bro.

Guaranteed pay means you have to do
Every #### load, no one else will do.
    I wouldn't touch it.
Whole lot of places you can
Make 1200 a week and say no the crappy loads.
