Yeah but your Peterbilt stands out lol. 90% of them get the drop visor, big bullhauler pipes and low bumpers. They all sort of blend in lol.

Grrrrrr. I was just starting to consider a conservative color coded drop visor until you said that.

I'll spend some more money on boring maintenance stuff or tools, just 'cos you said that.

You can't go wrong with either a W9 or 389. Great looking trucks, from very good manufacturers, with great options/specs available. It comes down to personal preference.

    Honest square answer -

    Owned a 2001 T2000 KW -

KW were utter rapists on parts. Build quality - frame/engine/driveline , good (aside from AG200 suspension needed swapped to AG400) - interior held up OK.

Now - 1995 379, Peterbilt dealership far less 'rapey' - satisfied with build quality, interior and exterior, aside of minor issues.

If you're a 'business owner' - it's a tool not a truck, and there's many other older brands that will do the trick.

If you're a 'trucker at heart', flip a coin on your two choices. I'm sure you've driven both, so select your specs and write the check.

Honestly nothing new Interests me to begin with, the only Pete I would entertain is a 359, maybe a 79 if I got the right deal. Every 389 I’ve ever driven has had squeaks and rattles no matter how new it was, low leaf is definitely a better ride Then 8 bag, and the Clutch pedal through the floor board is a lot easier on the knee as well as the extra leg room, parts are pretty decent on the kw side, we can still get call up and get parts for our 76 on up, I run my 97 down the road every day, they are all rebuildable, it’s just whatever you want for style, I’m just a single truck though, I don’t think I could bring myself to put some clown in anything that old Just to beat the #### out of

I owned a w900 over a year. My major problem with the truck is the turning radius. They put the steering box right there so you cannot turn the wheel as sharp as a 389. This might have changed as mine was a detroit series 60. My truck ran great, had the 8 bag system, bushings go bad and there’s a lot of them on this suspension setup. Loved the truck.

As for 389 vs w900, I would say w900 because the flat top sleeper has standup room, and the studio sleeper is awesome. Also a couple times I had to go to Peterbilt to buy a paccar part and they usually have less of an inventory than Kenworth and the identical parts are literally 15-20% more.
