Oh that's freaking hilarious! Did he hear that at the lunch counter?
I was hauling spec fuel to Cummins in Columbus, IN when they were developing the N-14, after the Detroit had been on the market a few years.

Everyone is dumb but the self anointed KR lol. I wonder how these O/O and small fleets are staying in business with emission trucks and making tons of money? Why don't they jump on the KR band wagon? In KR's universe they are all going to break down and go broke.
I have seen an equal amount of O/O get an old pre-emission truck and get swamped with crazy repair bills and go broke. (not 2014 gliders mind you)Davidlee Thanks this. -
The engine for the truck in this thread was remanned by DD then messed around with at PP. -
I had a 1998 Peterbilt with a Detroit series 60. The engine fan came on at 205 degrees.

First off, micro blue had nothing to do with the engine failure. I know this because they did not get what they ordered. Microblue wasn't on the parts it was supposed to be. And that's not a "glowing review" of the product, it's just saying that they did not get what they paid for. Now, while driving my truck, 180-200 is normal operating temperature. If KR and PP are actually saying that the engine overheated at 180, they really have no business talking trucks or building trucks. Not to mention when the engine was torn down, seeing the obvious f-ups of Pittsburg Power. I'm no expert when it comes to a Diesel engine. What I know can fit into a thimble. But even I know that this was a giant mistake on the owners' part to begin with and it should be caveat emptor to anyone thinking of these "Super Shops" like Pittsburg Power.
Hammer166 Thanks this. -
Then he goes on to say he just discovered that there are a bunch of different versions of the 12.7 -- something I discovered the moment I tried to order parts. And this guy is supposed to be some sort of Detroit guru?
Then he just goes nuts and says you need to consider which way the water is flowing to get good mileage because most rivers flow in a certain direction amd rollercoasters use momentum.
