So I wonder how this will affect the Port and Rail division of Knight. I actually enjoyed myself driving for Knight until they let someone use my truck and he smoked in it and stole my GPS and other items out of the truck, he denies it so I got screwed and left. 3 months later after their investigation I get compensated for the theft and offered back with better pay. That was 3 years ago now. Not looking back.

Knight has been notorious for trying to get former employees to come back to them. I got phone calls, letters and, if I'm remembering correctly, email from them for a year or so after I quit.
Seems to me like that is their mentality showing through.
"Please come back so we can screw you some more. You quit before we were done with you..."

Every time I see this thread, I get a picture in my mind, of a Swift truck and a Knight truck crashing into each other...

There was a brand new Knight trailer laying on its face out here at Pepsi the other day, so the merger definitely has taken place.

I see the merger as a sign of weakness.

Nobody takes on a partner, especially in business if they are strong or capable of going it alone.

I don't care how you factor it, when you are killing people weekly, maiming 100s more, your gonna get disqualified.

    Somebody has to answer.

Totally weak move. Give it some time.
I remember a story where everyone thought some dude named Oz was the big bad mofo.
Another one about the emporer having no clothes.

And last but not least, " Misery loves company. "

Saw my first knight truck pulling a swift trailer today on the westbound I 10. I didn't think they would run independently long.
