Knight attempting hostile takeover of USA Truck

Hey business for dummies crowd, Knight is only buying outstanding available stock. They can't get 51 doing that. Until shareholders sign over the voting rights of their shares or outright sell them to Knight, they are SOL. Btw, USA being smarter than people like Charles, made sure to put in some safeguards in case another Celedon happened. I'm not worried, you keep your company and I will keep mine. Have a nice day

 

Unless insiders own 51% or more which they don't it is very possible for knight to obtain 51% stake over time. Thats a fact.

 

I'm a share holder and I don't support knight. Don't really know why anybody would. USA is a better investment if left alone.

 

JFrog... do u think anyone cares about you being a shareholder? You own about 2-3% worth of stock, and you think that you're doing something. You think that you are a part of USA. Don't nobody at USA or Knight give a hoot about your lil piece of stock because it don't matter. The LARGEST SHAREHOLDERS are what matters in this thing. Not your lil piece. I don't care if Knight buys USA or not because we are doing fine just like we are. We are about to hit the 1 billion mark just like J.B.Hunt, Swift, Schneider with just 4,100 trucks. Your company is only doing 450-500 million. Small change compared to Knight. I'm so glad to be working for a debt free powerhouse, and don't have to worry about someone taking us over anytime soon. Say what you gotta say about me because you don't know me, and I don't know you, but know that I'm making money, and taking care of my family, and sleeping good at night knowing that my company is doing good, and people are not looking at taking my company over any moment. And trust me when I say this. If Knight wants USA soooo bad like I think they do..... they will get it. Money talks. B.S. that USA management is doing walks. They should've done like that song says" Gone take the money, and run". Because if Knight do get USA.... they probably would've offered management a job, but noooo. They want to fight... so now they will be out of a job when it all goes down. I don't care if Knight buys USA, but I would like to see it happen just to shut up a few of you. GoodKNIGHT.

 

As an owner op you'd better be making money or you are in sad shape.

Don't forget there are many of us drivers for USA that own stock and don't want to work for knight either. A bunch of small share holder can add up to a pretty large share of the voting. So you can say all you want and keep promising to say no more, but the games not over until the fat lady sings and the orchestra isn't even warming up yet.
Sit back, relax, and don't let your panties get bunched up. We will all know in due time.

As I said before, either way its win, win for me. Can't see you getting anything out of it so why are you so excited?

He comments constantly because he is getting off on stirring up crap. He is trolling this thread and baiting people.

It does not matter what any of us say or do. What happens in this "buy out" is going to happen. Either knight succeeds or they don't. Each individual driver will then decidef to leave or stay. Those that stay will decide over a few weeks or months on if they like knight enough to give the long term commitment. I'm treated fairly (so far) at usa and have no immediate plans to leave. I've looked at knight before and recently and sm not sure they are a good fit for me. Ill look deeper to make a better decision on if I'd give them a shot or not if they succeed in the buy out.

Knight has an uphill battle for a hostile take over but it can be done. They will decide over that time if it really is worth the effort to them. Yes they could get the votes. But they still have to get the seat at the table. Thats where the attorneys come in. Let them fight it out. Ill keep doing my job and always watching.

I'm glad that some like knight. But that doesn't make it the greatest company to work for for everyone. To some its not a good fit for what ever reason. That does not nake the driver who believes that any less of a good employee or a bad driver

 

Just sit back, and wait. That's what I'm doing. And JFROG.... I'm not excited. I told u before that I don't care what happens. I think if they were to acquire USA... they will acquire problems because a lot of USA drivers can't drive, and most of USA's equipment is raggedy. And if it happens... you don't have to stay with Knight because like a lot of companies. They hire new drivers everyday, and you wont be missed.

 

So with all that being said if USA has all these multitude of problems then why do they want to buy us?

 

Customers, and to grow the company. Buying USA will put Knight in the top 10. Duh! Knight will sell some of USA's raggedy equipment and use the decent ones.

 

yall don't need our customers,with all the great points you make about Knight they should be able to get our customers without a buyout and being a debt free company they already have the capital to buy equipment and go hire drivers
