Celadon tried a takeover of USA, but they don't have money like Knight has. That's why this takeover is serious, and different. I heard that USA is trying to fight it, but in reality.. it wont work. It's all about the Shareholders who holds the higher stock. Not the tiny piece of stock offered to USA'S driver's. If you go, and read " Knight responds to USA rejection"... you will read that the shareholders has agreed to Knight's plan and told Knight to do what they have to do to acquire USA. Just read. It's fundamental. The stockholders at USA are tired of losing money, and tired of gambling on a company that has said over and over that they will turn things around. Bringing in new CEO's every year trying to turn things around, and it's just not happening. Yeah they might make a lil profit for a quarter, and things seems to be turning around, but the thing is.... it's not fast enough. Knight said that USA is a perfect fit because they operate almost identically. It's the perfect piece of the puzzle. So boom! There it is.

Certainly no love between me and USA, but someone needs a new hobby, or indeed a life in general. Someone say he was an owner operator for Knight? Is that not a flease operator though? All his magic numbers wont change the fact he is running for CENTS per mile, and not dollars per mile though will it?
Owner operators dont flease trucks from the companies that enslave them, so maybe save that particular term for someone who can go into a dealer and buy his own truck without a carrier having to hold their hand every day......
    Either way folks....

What that has to do with this takeover? Don't worry about me being an owner operator or a flease operator in your words. I am a lease operator yes, and I don't get cents per mile either, but know this tho. At the end of the day.... I make way more money than you. Not one to brag, but I'm already at $150,000 gross for the year so far, and my highest take home per week is $1600, and my lowest depending on if I want to be lazy is $1,000-$1,200. If I could see you right now... I can show you. So like I said before.... USA drivers can say what they want about me, and say what they want about Knight, but numbers don't lie. And know once again that I make way more money than you. I'll be a flease operator as long as I'm bringing home this kind of money son. Now what? Feeling froggy... then jump.

    Guys,

Neither USA Truck nor Knight would care if you left them tomorrow. Remember that always with mega carriers. The people doing the hiring are puppets who are competing with other puppets performance. They both have CO's, LO's, and OO's and that diversity is big company mentality. You'd never see a small fleet shaped that way.

And if USA Truck were so smart they would be more like Knight, they would be cash only, no debt. That's the only way to be when the economy weakens and customers hold on to their money but still expect you to carry them, you have no choice. And shareholders have turned turned greedy and stupid over the years. Their greed gets them in a bind and they're not smart enough to get out.

I don't want to see any company takeover another but you know what? USA Truck has put it's stock out there and some day Knight may be their boss more or less, depending on how much they increase their 11% stake.

OAN.... that means oh, and I forgot to say that it's dollars per mile. I would not be leasing a truck for no freakin cents per mile. That's probably something that USA driver's will do because they are slow in other areas, and will take any pounding in the rear just to say that they're working for USA TRUCK. Knight does not enslave me either because I for one will not let anybody enslave me. They will let me take off as long as I want to, and as long as the truck note get paid. And for your info.... everybody can't afford to go to the dealership or have the credit to go to a dealership. From what I see now in my year of FLEASING from Knight LOL.... I'm glad that I didn't go to a dealership because if you're truck breaks down... You're on your own, but when you lease you're company... well at least Knight will back you up. If it's way over what you can afford... they will put you on a payment plan until it's paid. So all in all leftlanetruckin.... I'm glad that I made this decision to be a flease operator.

Ahhh man. Those USA driver are gonna bash you for that comment. They don't like to hear the truth. And Knight has brought more stock recently. So look for that to go up more than 11%. Might here about it tomorrow. I feel sorry for companies being bought out too because I think about people losing their jobs. But out of the 9 years that I've been with Knight, and the acquisitions that I've witnessed here. Knight has kept most of the employees, but I can't say this about USA CEO, and management because they put up a fight. They're gonna have to turn their head towards their behind, and say by by.

@leftlanetruckin. I hope that you are not in the left lane with that slow### USA TRUCK. You need to change that to rightlanetruckin, and stop lying to your self. I see that you were trying to call me a TROLL. That was funny tho. But I'm not on here trying to stir up trouble, and that wasn't the plan about 2 months ago when I first came on here, and tried to ask USA drivers if they heard anything about Knight trying to buy you guys out. So now it's different, and the facts are right before your eyes. So I can say that I told you so from 2 months ago. I'm getting the last laugh now. So I'll be the TROLL.

    Do some homework there genius.
Here is my (non) USA truck, along with what I haul. Personally wouldn't get out of bed for what you call a good week, but whatever.
    760TTweb.jpg
Over $4 per mile, is what I get to the truck. That's AFTER permits, escorts, whatever. All of which you have absolutely no comprehension of I'd guess.
Maybe put your brain in gear, before the mouth takes off next time?
Yeah, you are a flease operator, figured as much with the attitude and trolling.
If you want to compare earnings, I would be MORE than happy to do so Mr flease operator. I can happily post up my last 6 weeks TAKE HOME after fuel etc, as I had to send it to USA truck when one of their trucks hit me. Thus my comment about no love being lost between me and them. Miss that by chance Mr Troll?
And as soon as you want to see how "slow" my truck is, we can have at it. Certainly no flease truck that was ordered by the company, thats for sure. Still think I should change my username?

Wow, loads of replies, then nothing?
    Wonder why.....
That mouth running off before the brain can catch up will normally bite you in the rear wont it?
Attempt to justify fleasing all you want. ONLY ones that do it either have junk credit due to past mistakes, or a generally clueless. Ask Knight about taking their truck elsewhere, see how they laugh.....
Awaiting your next totally incorrect reply.....
