Knight just bought Abilene Motor Express, the company I drive for. And I have one question...

I had to look up Knight Holdings stock price after this news. It's almost doubled in a year. Perhaps they made this acquisition for nothing?

 

What is knights policy?

I’ve never worked for them but they always seemed like a decent company. I think their idle policies are kind of bad but other than that I think they seem like not a bad place.

 

I hope that's the case but things I've heard from former drivers that now work for Abilene and I know well enough to trust they are not just BSng or griping, suggest otherwise.

I will admit that Knight doesn't seem to do anything worse than other major carriers, but having worked at Abilene for 2 years and realizing just how good we have (had?) it here means it won't be easy to adopt any changes that restrict the freedoms we now enjoy.

 

Yup,I’ve had a few of Abilene’s trucks blow past me and my truck’s OnGuard radar has picked up their speeds around 71-72 mph. They run like every load is a hot load!!
