I have 13 me t660 which came factory with 12k front axle. I'm quite heavy sometimes 12300lbs+
If like to upgrade to 13k axle with air bags for ride comfort and be able to be heavier on steer axle as I'm planning to install herd bumper. Is this something that I can swap maybe from W900 with air ride?
How much do axles cost generally?

Probably have to get truck re rated for them to allow the extra if they ever check.

Bone yard standard axle about $2500.
Most anytime I try to do something like thank it runs into unexpected complications.

I did similiar swap except went 20k.
Easiest is look at junkyards for one, most axles will interchange, you will need to buy heavier springs. I wouldn't cut it that close with a 13k but step up to a 14.2k and get bigger brakes. Make sure track width and spring center is same

If was a fairly straight forward swap, unbolt axle and roll it out, swap springs to heavier ones and roll new axle back under. Measure axle center to center from rear to front to make sure you get it square. It has alignment pins but your better off making sure its square before final torque on u bolts
