I really like the Michelins too. Got the XDN2's. Saw an O/O at Love's getting a flat repaired, I asked him how many miles he had on his XDN2's, he said over 400,000 miles, as he had them re-grooved (to be fair they were getting a little thin that's why I asked him).

I see that Goodyear has made a tire siped all the way down like the XDN2 as well, just not as wide as the Michelin. Excellent road grip with the sipes. I believe they may be beneficial in the heat as well. But Steve was telling me they may not be California Smartway approved.

Asked shop supervisor at sparks for all the prices on drive tires he could give me....450,bf Goodrich...432 Michelin....364 continental...said most are getting 240,000 plus.Michelins a little better, but even the continentals hold up as well as the others he mention...also said swifts pull point on drives is now 2/32nds and they pay better for Michelin casings....but no free alignment, points or shower with a set like TA/Petro, lol.... :biggrin_2556:...thank you Mr shop man!

Ps...I really thought swifts price would be better than that...but whatever

The T/A told me that other day that they think that I still have at least another 50K on my bridgestones, possible more. I am having a problem with the steers. Replaced another one just the other day, plus another alignment. Only cost $800.

The Bridgestone M726EL are the best, longest lasting Drive Tire out there, you could easily get 300k out of them or more with proper rotation. As for Steers I recommend Michelin XZA 3+ with Centramatics.

Had two new Michelins steers installed at IGH this week, $800 out the door. Now looks like I need a new drive soon. The others, they are telling me at least another 50-75K left on them

Finally got my drive tires.....2205.00 all inclusive r and r,new valve stems, casing rebates,80 dollar certificate from speedco for anything I wanted......ran my original tires down to 2/32 shhhh...(or less, lol) got 270,000 out of them.....bandag retreads...really hard to part with the money for new bridgestones or micchelins right now....so I regret it a little but feel like I got a good deal none the less...even if they last 2/3 rds the originals...gives me time to save again...hard to part with that much money at one time....

About time you got rid of those slicks! LOL!
