You can have a 48 but, you will miss out on loads. Even though a customer will ask for a 53vn the freight may only be 25ft… But they still want a 53ft van

My unladen is 78 a month. Physical damage is 292 for 136000 coverage value for truck and trailer.

Depends what state your in.. My Gallagher coverage is leaps and bounds better than what 1st Guard was offering and cheaper. A lot of this 1st Guard couldn't do for a O/O in Virginia, I have no idea why

thanks for the reply, if you were to estimate, what percentage of the potential loads could I lose using a 48ft?

I dont do van anymore….I would say maybe 35-40% of loads …..some loads just say van..others say they need a 53vn or 48vn, some say 53vn only…….its hard to say

I am thinking of moving over to Landstar. Earlier in this thread there was a link to an independent agent that leased on trucks to Landstar. Is this a faster way to get approved? What is in it, money wise, for the agent? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you're a talking about GAD... and yes there is an incentive for them... Still gonna be a drag to get approved tho

I thought it was because he was posting videos of loads on youtube. Is that against LS policy?

Nope, no policy at LS preventing someone from posting videos that I know of.

He was definitely terminated for violating the “sitting duck” policy. He said so and complained about the policy before he took down the original video.

Oh ok, cause he always joked about "secret load" in his videos.
