Yes Landstar is does utilize comdata and definitely there are fuel discounts. Some are variable / cost plus. others are fixed such as Pilot, Flying J and Loves.

No difference they are all one company now. Ranger and inway do run under 2 different dot numbers though.....

Do I have to fly out to Jacksonville FL for orientation?
If I want to run flatbed, where would I pick it up (presuming Ill ruñ their trailer) -

Looks like Sparks Nv would be your closest. Rockford Il will be your next. Not sure of the trailer situation in sparks but assuming I was going to use their trailer I would be taking my truck to orientation in preparation to head out after a trailer.

When I went to Sparks there was no room for truck or trailer there. I just drove the car to orientation and back. But I understand they have a new place that has space available but you have to call ahead to coordinate with Lisa to make sure she has room.
