Stuff like this sends shivers up my spine. These are somebody's family members, and my kids live in L.A. and I can only hope they aren't at these stupid events when this stuff happens. So how long will this kind of thing go on? 30 people here, 20 people there, somebodies loved one gone, for no reason. And you gun lovers telling us guns don't kill people, ,,,tell THAT to these folks families,,,it allows the nutjobs to carry out their twisted plan WITH a gun.

Guns don't kill. People do. Guns are protection.

Zero Hedge which is a little bit of a fringe site best visted under very good protection from spammy ads etc that will bury your machine, they do tend to get ahead of or sometimes dispense information which may or may not be correct.
I wont link to it, here. But you can google ZH, and visit to see for yourself two articles, one is about the shootings and contain original videos. The second is somewhat telling, saying a female pushed to stage front during concert inside the venue 45 minutes prior to shootings started, yelling that everyone is going to die.
The media has pretty much looped themselves since the last early presser. So we will wait a few more hours into the daytime for any new facts released by the Law. Apparently Swat blew the hotel room door off the frame, and blasted the shooter during the assault. You wont win against a stack or stick of SWAT. That wont happen.
I find myself truly sick at heart this morning. I am a little bit of a warrior and these shootings that are planned and executed against so many people who do not have any say when being shot at, killed and butchered in horrible ways at what is supposed to be a event in which they are to celebrate life itself. Makes me die a little bit inside. It will happen again and again and again, mark my words.
UMS Trauma reported 104 souls taken in, 8 plus straight to OR's 14 plus critical. Maybe a dozen into ER type treatments. Rest will be discharged or already discharged. I think 2 souls have died there. Majority of the 50 probably bled out through femorals and such right there in the concert venue. Those rounds were apparently military type and against hard pavement will bounce and chop into more than one person each. Horrible.
Leaving aside spectulation, I cannot imagine what the family of the shooter must be feeling at this time, we will hear from them later today probably.
Some will think this strange, but the Hotel that suffered the shooter from that particular room should seriously consider demo'ing that particular space entirely and establishing a walled memorial with no window or a stained glass one at that particular location on that 32nd floor. That should eradicate the evil forever.
Israel has been dealing with this forever, and continue to deal with this. You cannot go into say Tel Aviv Airport without multipule levels of security already eyeballing and knowing about you specifically before you get into the facility. I noticed that the Hotel probably has a monorail or Tram stop attached to it. That may have been a way in.
Im not sure if I will post any more on this thread, I'll let it run it's course. It's a very bad day for these United States and we should use this to contemplate where we need to go from this point. But before I do, I want to mention that automatic weapons are lawful in the USA, but under incredibly restrictive Tax III Class Stamp, Registration, signatures of your law in your county on upwards and so on. As of 1986, there were additional laws passed.
If I had approx 16K dollars I can purchase a M14 full korean era rifle from the store down the road. It's not difficult except that the paperwork, finger printing, registration, tax application III stamp etc etc etc will take a better part of a year before they say yes proceed. One other thing that really gets me is that Las Vegas hosts a business called Machine Gun Vegas, a sort of a range, training school and a fun place to learn how to run a fully automatic machine gun. A few boxes of 40 rounds etc will settle you with the weapon well enough once you get the shakes out of your teeth and vision. They must be feeling really bad right now. I wonder if that old shooter, the badguy at 64 learned to control a machine gun there? Or went out into the desert of which Nevada has a ton near Mesquite (Which was BTW a recent problem involving the BLM versus Bundy Cattle Range dispute some years ago...) to learn it. 7.62 wolf by the case would be a kicker. But if you don't expect to survive such a horrible thing long enough to feel the ow the next day... you would be feeling dead probably./snark....
Remember the bad guy has to shoot across a major street strip into a crowd that is some distance from the 32nd floor of that hotel. How many more must we endure before we as a people say that is quite enough and start to prevent or proactively detect and take out future bad guys trying to do the same thing against crowds and concerts etc.... We are supposed to be a free country, but we are not a free people when evil intends to attack us for whatever motive that drives them to do it.
Ive said enough here. Unfinished questions certainly. I guess we will all learn as the days and weeks go by the real story of what's what and the whys and so forth.
All I can offer is prayers for those who have lost people there. And what a loss. It's not acceptable to me at all. And it should not be to you at all. I do however retain my celebration towards the Las Vegas Police and the Lawmen who made the good kill as quickly as they did, running up 32 floors or however they were in the area that fast. It's awesome. -
I was at the Ariana Grande concert where a bomb exploded

You will never stop some psycho with a plan to do mass harm when people gather in giant crowds. Take away one means and they will find another.
I'll bet multiple people knew Stephen Paddock was a pycho. He should have been under close scrutiny long before this happened.spyder7723, Sirscrapntruckalot, Longarm and 7 others Thank this. -

Which I take the position that I take. I would have preferred that nothing like this would ever happen. But it's done and I think we should learn what we can from this...201 Thanks this. -
Now its more then 50 dead and 400 injured.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
That's too #### many. This would make it close to what a team of gunmen did to Paris not long ago. I don't know of any attacks in our Country's history with such a loss outside of actual warfare. -
