Leaking oil after clutch replacement. Where is it coming from?

    I'm dripping oil. I lost a gallon in 24 hours.
    I had a new clutch put in it.

    It looks like it's from there.

    It’s unlikely that it’s coming from that hole. I believe that just an inspection hole. It’s common for the cover to be missing on trucks.

    It’d get an engine wash, and work from there. How long ago did they put the new clutch? If it was soon, you want to report it to them right away, and don’t have anyone work on it unless the shop is okay with it.

    Engine oil I'm guessing?
    Did the shop replace rear main seal? Looks like its leaking between tranny/engine. They should've replaced that rear main seal.

    Yeah they replaced the rear seal. I never leaked before. Now it's huge.

    If it's leaking at the seal would it cone out of that hole?

    Probably messed up the seal when they put the transmission back up. Very easy to do. I would definitely make them re-do it.

    Yes, it can leak down into the bell housing and drip out of that hole.
