I've actually spent the last two days do my bookkeeping. Arduous task. Number before per diem and other deductions is gonna be $137Kish. If you look on the Landstar So Far thread, mid summer that's about what I predicted. My goal was $150K. But couple larger ticket items, time spent adding trucks, put the kabootz on it.

I almost forgot that number includes $8K down I spent on the second truck, so the number would have been $145Kish.

    That's just my truck.

And I'll be home this week too mostly. I should anyway lol. Almost pulled the trigger on some stuff several times, especially yesterday.

Dave, is it possible to make $234k AFTER Landstar takes 35%. I ask you this only because there is some guy on YouTube, I wouldn’t say he’s ever heard of a step deck, and he’s claiming he made a little of $234k @ Landstar. And he claims in the comment section of the video that he made this AFTER Landstar took his 35%.

I just read where you said you stayed out 7-8 weeks. If you do that much work, there’s no way this guy is pulling in those numbers, or is it possible? Maybe he owns a trailer? Maybe he is blowing smoke to get people recruited. I don’t know. I think $128k is great!

TL;DR: is this guy just blowing smoke or can you gross over $200k/year after 35%? Thanks.

Correct -a-mundo. My numbers are after LS,cut.

    Company van.

LS takes 35% from no one. The rate is broken down into line haul, fsc, loading, unloading, tail gaiting, etc.

The only take 35 of the LH, the other things you get 100%.

Some good advice is ask the people that post things is if they have any direct knowledge of what they are speaking of.
