Not sure how much experience he had, but driving through a yellow light that turns red is one of the things that got him gone. The other was his attitude about it. He didn't think it was a big deal, and repeatedly told everyone he thought so. Just a general bad attitude.
Leave for orientation at Roehl the day after tomorrow.

Pedy6Pak..did you enroll in the Military Program they have? I am also a Chief Petty Officer and I will retire in 2008. Roehl is the #1 company I am looking at, SNI being the second.
Any and all information you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks! -
I took my written cdl test today and PASSED!!!! Also got my motel reservations. It's in the Old Dutch Lodge. Sounds really nice. Can't wait!

Yes, I am in the military thing. I will be on salary and also receive a check from the VA for my GI Bill. Roehl sent me a bunch of information on it before I did it. Im sure your recruiter will send it to you too.
If you have specific questions feel free to PM me

Whispers,
Congrats and glad to see you so excited.
I am in Evo II now. My wife and I decided it would be better for us if I just stayed out and not gone home between Evo I and II. I left home on the fifth and should be home this coming weekend. I am on day 15 of driving. I have learned a tremendous amount. I am on my third trainer and he is a really good guy. All three have been really good. Lets see, I have gone from Ellenwood Ga, to Ohio, down to Florida, back to Ellenwood, swapped out trainers and then back to Ohio, down to Wichita, up to Madison WI and then down to the terminal in Gary. I then swapped trucks again and then back down to Florida, up to Baltimore, over to western PA, up to Raymond NH. From there we went to the Terminal in Groveton NH, and am sitting at the Consignee in Maine as I type. I have driven 4410 miles since I started 15 days ago. It has been cool seeing the country. I am ready to go home and see my family though. I will find out more tomorrow when I call my dsr, but the plan last Friday was for me to be at a terminal Thursday or Friday to take my test and driving test. Then I should get my own truck and a load that will get me home this weekend. It sure has been an experience. There is more to learn that I thought there would be, but Roehl has this set up really good. You actually get a book with home work so to speak to do while out on the road. So far, I have been to three terminals, and two drop yards. The terminal up in New Hampshire has been the smallest one so far. Gary is really big and from what my trainer has told me, Marshfield is bigger yet.
I have not had internet in a long time, so when we saw signal sitting here at the consignee we both jumped on it. Have to get up early to deliver so I am signing off.
Good luck everyone.
