Had to do a uturn today. I for the most part avoid them but I've been seeing more trucks making them. Thoughts?

Make sure everything is clear, go as wide as you can, be empty if possible.

Don't do it. Make your way to the next exit, or empty lot, go around the block, etc., and turn around.

They are like parallel parking, poker and sex with rich goodlooking people. Do it well or don't do it.

The same people who will avoid a Uturn on a public road will jackknife so hard Uturning in the truck stop they will bend they batwing fairings and dig a hole in the parking lot.
I've done the Uturn before but have to make triple sure everything is OK. Would rather make a left into a large lot and come out the right direction on the main road from there.
Once in the lot sometimes will just do a 3 point back, especially if I have to buy the trailer tires, I make sure to take country mile to turn the rig around to prevent or at least mitigate shredding the trailer tires.tscottme, Hammer166, blairandgretchen and 4 others Thank this. -
