Hey all,
new here. I just finished getting my CDL to chase a career as a lineman. Really excited. But the day after I picked it up the Illinois Secretary of State sent a notice of Invalidation saying I lost my driving privileges.
If it helps at all, I an 20 years old so I have an intrastate restriction but I can’t imagine this being the reason. I have one speeding ticket from doing 10 over.
Is this normal or did the DMV mess something up when processing my information?
Thanks for the help!
Aidan.

Your best course of action is to contact the DMV with your inquiry.

Call the Sec of State’s office/DMV, on Dirksen Pkwy, in Spfld. They’re very knowledgeable and helpful, when it comes to CDL’s.
I had some slight issues moving back from FL and they got me lined out with everything I needed to know and bring. I brought everything I needed, the customer service clerk knew exactly what to do, and I had zero issues.tscottme Thanks this. -

I've heard Swift drivers having had their licenses invalidated the day after they signed on with Swift. The DOT stated that being hired on as a Swift driver showed that they were no longer valid CDL holders. The invalidation was sponsored by the American Bridge society as well as the Telephone pole installers association.
