The 30day minute break is only required if you drive more than 8mckinney consecutive hours, I may be wrong on that but that's what I read somewhere

 

A DC powered swamp cooler might do the trick. Thats how vehicle AC's use ti work.

Couple of things. I don't know anybody that is truely happy with elogs except those that can't do simple math. Many say they like them because they are stuck with them, why complain. Still running paper I don't get hassled.
Next, missing your APU? What are you going to do when your trucks AC quits, its hot out and you want to make good money? Sit and complain while you wait days for your truck to be repaired or run and sweat? The company is counting on you to want a paycheck soooo... eliminate the APUs and let the drivers suffer. Its not even hot yet and my ac has been recharged once because it didn't work. Less than a week later its down again. Soo glad I can run the APU A/C to keep cool as I go down the road.
That's kinda like that big generator behind headquarters, always got to have a backup plan. Can't have all those computer jockeys breaking out a sweat.

 

Just plugg in a portable AC. You have a power inverter in your truck. You can bet that I wouldnt be without heat/ac. I can remember a time last summer driving down the road with a portable plugged in when my my AC went out. Dont expect the company to have your comfort in mind because they dont. You are not valued as much as you might think your are.

 

The drivers that like the elogs are the ones that dont want to run hard and I know USA have plenty of them. I guess some drivers are just happy with a $500 - $600 paycheck supplemented with food stamps. I dont mean to sound like an ahole but thats the reality of it.

 

How can u run ur apu while the truck is running?

 

I didnt say run your APU while the truck is running. What I said was to plugg a portable AC into your power inverter. I ran like that for part of last summer my AC went out.
