So far so good with the fuel management, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. It hasn't sent me out of route and has not let me get under a half tank so far.

But it is early so we will just have to see.

Prime would pay us if the fuel finding software added miles to the original trip. The extra pay would require a call to dispatch though.

Software can do the math part like there's no tommorrow, but when it comes to requiring a logic component to make the software decisions...

Case in point - GPS directions that make no sense.

There us leway in it according to my fm, i had half tank of fuel and had a beer run up in newark,nj going to raleigh,nc and it had me getting fuel in md, but he said it was fine for me to fill up before i got my load since anheuser busch always wanting us to come full. He said the system doesn't flag us if we got to fill up before hand. But the change hasnt really bothered me to much besides going to loves.. i hate them lol

Seems like a call to your em could have prevented that.you could have gotten fuel somewhere before you ran completely out could you not? Sometimes you have to use common sense. If you run out of fuel that's on you, that's not the companies fault

There's more to the story than I revealed. I just got assigned a new 2013 and apparently the fuel guage doesnt work. It showed 1/4 of a tank but it was completely empty. Also, its not on me. It cost the company $200. I had no way of knowing that the fuel guage did not work properly since I had only been in the truck for several days.

Better check the fuel cut off valves. When I picked up my new 2013 I ran.out at 1/4 tank. Road service found the right tank was shut off.

    Sent from somewhere out there
