This question is for company drivers where with companies that lease there trucks instead of buying them. Do you think you are limited on the miles you get because of the lease? For instance in the last 7 1/4's my miles have always been 33500 plus or minus 500. Dosent matter if I run 5 days or 12 or how many days I take off [some 1/4's I take 7 to 10 more days off. Has anyone else noticed a trend like this?

What's wrong with 33k miles in a quarter? That's 11k miles per month. I usually run between 9 and 11k per month as a solo driver.

Nothing wrong with the miles I run. That's not the question

You might be onto something. Most lease deals involve a mileage over charge for exceeding a certain amount of miles in a given time. It could be that your company is throttling back on your miles to save a buck at your expense.

That's what I'm thinking. I have talked to two other drivers all three of us run different schedules one stays out 5 days I do 12 the other 20 to 30 days. We all are getting the same results. I guess I should just take a little more home time and be happy

Semi truck leases don't operate like a car lease. You don't get a set amount of mile you are allowed. You pay for every mile. 10 to 12 cpm anymore seems to be the norm. It's just the way your freight is running. That the difference in how many days it take to do the miles. I think it more likely the company had a certain threshold they have to reach every quarter. So if you reach it in 10 days or 40 days it doesn't matter

I was a mechanic for Ryder and pac lease. That's how I know how they charge. Of course when I got out it was only about 5cpm. That was about 15 years ago.
