Hammer, Duct Tape, Needle nose Pliers, Gloves, paper clips ( to shove under pigtail in the socket if it's loose), and Glad hand Grommets. You dont need anything else honestly. You're a driver not a mechanic just put all that stuff in a bag and then it's easy to haul in and out of the truck everyday. Safe travels driver

I had to think but I do carry a considerable amount of crap in my travel bag. Knockometer, one big effing hose/turbo clamp and ya there’s my vintage Shell tire pressure gauge for when my Knockometer registers a possible low inflation

ill be honest, i don’t even bother checking trailer tires with the gauge. i pulled 4 different ones last night. id still be out there if i did check them all.

Yep. I pull 6 different trailers a night no way to check them all, plus dollies.

I used to do a triangle loop around Montana. Triple west, then triple Northeast, and finally triple back south to my home terminal.

I used to check tires when I first started, now I just check to see if there is thread on them and kick each one to make sure they are filled.

That will vary depending on the trailer.

On my liftgate 48’ I can get about 32k or do if it’s slightly tail heavy. On pups I’m good for about 45k.

it has been many years since my linehaul days, i think now that you mention it, 32k (with a single axle tractor) was our limits as well. pups, i cannot fully recall.

Are we talking single axle trailers as well? The most freight I've seen in a 28 ft single axle pup was 24,000 lba

no, just single axle tractors. when i had hauled pups, those were single axle as well.

the trailers 48's, 53's were the standard twin axle trailers. but our tractors had weight limits for the single axle tractors, to pull no more than the 32K as mack said his did as well. i still cannot recall the total limits for a set of pups, but i'd be guessing if i said it was no more than 35k???????

too many years to recall exact specs

So is that number freight and trailer or just freight?
