Hey there guys,
So it's been a wild month to say the least after getting my CDL test passed. I ended up going to an orientation with Swift and with a trainer for all of a week. I could tell this was not the company for me. I can see how it works for people but with my situation and after actually seeing the cameras I decided I would pass.
So I got routed home and said goodbye and thanked them for giving me a shot. Upon returning home an owner operator from my dispatching days gave me a call and asked if I'd like to drive his other truck in and out of the Port of Oakland. All in all it has been pretty fun. He trained me for a week and now I'm on my own. He pays me 40% of the load and takes care of me if I need help. I have been running to Los Angeles and Reno a lot.
Without all the help on here I wouldn't be doing what I am up to. Thanks again and God bless everyone on here.
Little update on my progress
