Only you can decide that, has alot to do with future plans. And whether or not 18 is decent money in your area...

For the most part experience doesn't cross over in either direction. To a certain extent it does, for example, either can be proof you can drive, but local doesnt teach you how to manage a multi day time schedule, and otr doesn't teach you how to navigate tight roads with 18 stops due to be done in 10 hours..

Neither usually cross over. My food service company doesn't typically like otr guys as they quit since they're used to bumping docks and not unloading a trailer with just a two wheeler.

No,they quit because they realize they're working
Longer and harder for 3 to 400 dollars a week less
Than they made OTR to hold a steering wheel and
Work in short pants and flip flops.

Trust me,that's the real reason a lot of local lobs
Don't want OTR drivers. They know they can't
Pay what he's used to making and he'll quit
    After a couple of Paycheck's.

I make $300 more being local. But because of no more per diem. My take home is $150 less.

Otr doesn't pay worth a crap. Being local does with the right gig.

Oil haulers make twice what OTR makes.

That's a bunch of crap. OTR can't even compare to what the local guys make in my area. It's not even close

Your a clown and a liar. Prove it. Post your pay stubs.
He's going o make 18 bucks an hour
    18~40 = 720 gross. That's before any taxes and deductions. That's #### money.
A 1 year driver at swift is making almost twice that in a week.

That's poverty wages in Southern California.

No worries driver, you did the math. You got it right!
All of us out here going home to our women everyday making 60,70,80k+ are just walking on rainbows!

How's the pizza at the pilot tonight? Have you saved up enough points to get a slice for free? Man that's the life, driver.
