Better check your tire valve stems to make sure they have the caps. If one is missing that is a DOT violation and you better pull over immediately and send a Breakdown Macro to have a service truck come out and put on a valve stem cap lol

Years ago I locked myself out of my truck one night and breakdown told me to bust cigarette window, said they have a vendor where they can get the windows cheaper than calling someone out in middle of night to get me in... I ended up taking off panel to handle and was able to unlock it and didn't have to bust window tho.. first and last time locking myself out.. knocking on wood.

One of a few times my dog locked me out at the blu be on.I was going inside to pay for the wash came back out and trk was locked. She likes looking out the wondow and bitting the electric locks with her pass.Anyway a Transam driver was after me and he got my trk opened by carefully removing the floor window on the passenger side.He was so nice I offered to give him $20.00 but he wouldn't accept it.That's what trucking is all about helping other drivers.

I may be wrong, but unless you are an OO and driving an old truck like a freightliner made in the middle 90s those keys are not flat. Every key I have seen on most trucks now are too fat to put in your wallet. I mean if you are using one of those large pouch wallets with that mile long chain it may fit, won't fit in my wallet.

Always have an extra key. Use a piece of wire to secure it, not one of those magnetic boxes. Or keep it in you pocket .

You can get one made. New truck or old truck, if it's a simple key, it can be duplicated. No need to hide a spare that way.

I don't get the insults. It was raining. I couldn't continue driving when I couldn't see ahead of me. I was told to wait for break down to show up. And I did. I explained to them what snapped off and they didn't say swap blades until after my last message. As far as breaking the window, eh . yeah I could have done better. But I didn't expect the #### door to lock on its own. Nobody got hurt. You live and you learn.

The shop here is always closed when I show up for night work. I've only been in this truck a week. No chance to get a spare.

Actually its not part of the CVSA North American Out of Service Criteria. You might run into a state that may require this per state law, but it is not a DOT violation. That CVSA NAOOSC IS THE BIBLE when it comes to defective equipment and I don't care if that bald headed budda at Swift or your uncle harry says otherwise.

I always tried to keep 40 or 50 of them in a small bag. I did this for two reasons. The first is a bit of dirt or grime can get in behind that valve and it will play hell on keeping the air in those tires. The other reason was pride. I just liked my tractor to have all the caps on it.

OK I will bite, Where did you get the blanks? I ask this question because I tried for several weeks even using internet searches for them with no luck.
