Most of the time you get them from the company you work for, but if you run out on the road you can buy them at the truck stop. You also need a DVIR (daily vehicle inspection report) that can also be purchased at the truck stop.

I bought a logbook for less than $2 at a flying j before I started my new job. Turns out my carrier has a stack of them in the supply closet for us. One thing I would recommend is one of those $6 log book rulers that larger truck stops carry. They make things much easier and look neater. Just an idea.

Husband had a real thin (depth) clear ruler he used. Also don't forget some sort of white out, the pens may work ok, and a red ink pen I think is needed.
