You mentioned Averitt. They seem to have a bevy of local or regional jobs. They have terminals everywhere. I've never came across a disgruntled Averitt driver, but every company has ambassadors and complainers. They have volvos so that may help being vertically challenged, especially since they have the shorter hood. Besides most companies are running autos it seems

I'm "normal" size like you. Any truck with tilting steering wheel will be comfortable for you. I worked for Averitt for almost 20 years on a dedicated account where I was home daily. They are a good company with excellent benefits. They look for Boy Scouts, not cowboys. I would not recommend them for OTR/regional. You will be home every weekend but your miles vary a lot. They have tons of dedicated daycab accounts. Ask them about any near you. Averitt doesn't have tankers. You can probably benefit from drivingvDry van or Reefer for a year before tankers.

Stay away from any and all Dollar Store accounts with ANY trucking company. All of those accounts require superior backing skills. Newbies are trained to never back. Dollar Store accounts are almost a guaranteed backing accident, perhaps a few. Being new, with accidents, and getting fired is not something to volunteer for.

Containers is a pretty shady part of the industry. Lots of 1099 companies that don't pay what they say.

A lot of companies offer 14 day OTR. You might even find one offering 7 day OTR.

The vertical challenge bit might cause issues though. At 4'11 you probably need an automatic, or you will have some fairly significant issues fully depressing the clutch to activate th clutch brake.

It sounds like the truck you are training in works for you though. Is it a T680? If so, most T680's will likely work for you just fine.

Yes it is. And I am training fine in it, just hoping I won't have to strain everyday.

So that's my red flag to steer clear, thank you!
