I use Camscanner App. Take a jpeg picture of the reciepts or bills or whatever paperwork. Use App to convert to .pdf and email to whoever needs it. FedEx Office has an option, email to printandgo@fedex.com then they send you a code and you can go in and print off your docs for like $0.09 per page as opposed to $0.34 per page printed using their computers to do the same.
americanmadetrucker Thanks this. -
I have the all-in-one Canon Pixma 470 in my truck along with a smart phone, laptop and everything connected through my Verizon Jetpack MiFi. In short I have a complete portable office in my truck. All of the wireless printers I have used have a way to set up an email address for them. To make this work you don't need a computer, but a way to connect to the internet. Then all you have to do is send your file from your phone to the email address of your printer. If you get a printer with bluetooth then you don't need the wireless. Your printer won't need a computer for basic copy functions.
By going the extra step of a laptop and wifi I have added a lot of functionality to my business. I can scan everything into my computer, Transflo from the truck, upload documents to Google Drive so my wife has access to them, and I can fax using an internet fax service. I also have the ability to receive and print documents from others. I prefer to receive things as email attachments.scottied67 Thanks this. -

It has been really great, when I worked for a company where I did a lot of drop and hook it saved time and money. It was amazing how often I would pickup a trailer with no inspection sticker. Maintenance could send me a copy of the latest inspection as an email attachment. All I had to do was print and put in the paperwork box. I also had times where the registration was missing and we did the same thing. Transflo has a download for computers where you can simply scan your paperwork and cover sheet into your computer and then you upload into transflo. I don't remember the last time I had to use a truck stop. Also all of my paperwork is in my computer so it's easy to find if I ever need it.
Now I'm an O/O with Landstar, I just do live load and unload, but I still need to transflo paperwork and I have the load information from the agents. It's nice to be able to print everything off and have with me when I go into the customer. As far as cost, figure what your time is worth and how much will you save by not having to make side trips to truck stops. If it allows you to get just one more load a week, you recover your cost in just a few weeks. -

Most of the newer wireless printers of moderate price have a wifi direct setting. My Epson does, all I have to do to print from it is connect to the printer via the direct connection and go.
Will print from laptop, tablet and phone. -
