Looking for a spot in Portland, Oregon

Well I thought I would report back. I ended up doing jubitz. Not really sure how to describe this place other than kind of a wanna be resort for truckers? Lol not complaining so much, I mean it is pretty much in the middle of Portland.
1. The hotel is nice. I stayed there last night and I’ll be there again tonight. I would say it’s a 2 1/2 star maybe three star hotel, it was quiet and the rooms are clean and beds comfortable. This place kind of traps you into their little set up though there isn’t much else around here to do. And it’s probably not safe in a lot of the areas around here.

2. The food is absolutely insanely overpriced. but it’s good….I ordered a burger and a soda at the grill and with the tip it was over $30 out the door. For a freaking cheeseburger. Got a strawberry parfait and that was $11. Lol

3. The bar is pretty cool but if you stay late or go in there late, they roll their eyes and huff and puff when they see a trucker come in. Literally the two girls that were there could not stand truck drivers. It was sad! Overheard her complaining about an old trucker who came in and sat down and just was trying to make a friendly conversation with her. The guys was a really nice old trucker. Just trying to be friendly and she was a total jerk to this guy. She will literally let you sit there and ignore you why she looks at you from across the bar. It’s really, really bad. I stood out front of the bar and was approached by four other drivers while we left at the same time…They came up to me and said “can you believe that, how does she still have a job“. No Exaggeration what are the drivers commented that he stops in here about once a month and she’s always like that. Rude and ignores you.

3. parking does fill up usually around 6 PM here. Even on a Monday it was full. So if you’re gonna get here late you better reserve a spot.

4. overall, given the area and all that goes on in this crazy place, we should be thankful that a place like this exists. If you don’t wanna spend a small fortune and you’re stuck here for a few days better bring your own food. You could easily spend $200 in two days eating here. And that’s if you don’t go for drinks or anything else.

Overall fun place. Just expensive!

 

All of that area and the target and Walmart and all of that is closed down. Yeah it’s that bad. You have to see it to believe it how bad it is in Portland with the homeless problem and everything else going on. It’s like driving through a poor town in South America. I’m not even kidding. But yeah Walmart in target left. More shoplifting than sales. They closed up. No Walmarts left in Portland
