    Hello to all,
Recently obtained my CDL from a credited school in Dallas, Texas. Trying to decide next move and with what company. Going to stay away from flatbed till i get some experience, but is direction id like to go at some point. I do have tanker endorsement as well. I would appreciate any advice on companies to look at from experienced drivers.Who has Best training to start with? I have no back ground in working on cars or trucks, sad to say. Goal is to set my self up to succeed in a new career and new lease on life. Thank You in advance for any reply!

Here's some companies to look at; they all hire new CDL grads. Some may have 1 yr. experience required on the website, but they do hire new CDL grads maybe at just certain terminals:

    Reefers/vans

    Magnum Companies
    Halvor Lines
    Tyson Foods
    Decker Truck Line
    Pride Transport
    Navajo Express
    Jim Palmer Trucking

    Tankers

    Schneider Bulk
    SVTN
    Superior Carriers
    Indian River Transport
    Tidewater Transit
    CTL Transportation
    Trimac Transportation

It also depends on what your looking for , if your not concerned about home time that can double the list available to you, there are a handful of regional companies that get even new drivers home most weekends . One way to try and find those is to search truck driver or student driver on a job board with your city listed as the location .

Might get more hometime with Raider Express, if that's important.
Too many grocery warehouses for me to deal with though.
Probably won't make near as much money as with the others on the list.
    They're based in Ft. Worth.

You can check in to Knight Transportation as well. They have a few terminals out of Texas.

Schneider Bulk. Do 2 years or so then make a switch to one of the top paying tanker companies. Schneider has a big terminal in Dallas right beside the J. You will be based out of Houston but that doesn't matter, they will just BT you home of they don't have anything going to Dallas. You could be home every 2 weeks for 4 or 5 days.
